Breakfast was excellent and honestly why we chose Portman Lodge. My husband wanted to experience an English Breakfast. Neal was super helpful and friendly. The room was much nicer, comfortable and more modern than expected.

Breakfast was delicious, freshly cooked, with local ingredients. Loved the fridge in the room, the fab shower pressure, the room in general. Loved the quiet area, the terrace overlooking the garden and woods. The village itself was lovely, too.

Jenny was a great host and made my stay very relaxing. Bonus was fresh milk, bread, eggs tea coffee etc already provided. WiFi was great and needed to be to allow for video calling as there is no phone signal in the village. Maybe not a bad thing if you want to relax. Highly recommended.
