The hostess Evelyn were so incredibly lovely, just as all the other reviews said. She really has created something special here. Dunvegan was just as big part of why I've now fallen in love with Windermere as a town as the rest. Everyone were so kind and we really felt welcomed everywhere. It was so gorgeous and so many lovely shops! I realized the last day that I missed to explore some areas that were close by but I would definitely recommend it all! Sure it could be seen as a "tourist village" with all the b&bs but Windermere still had it all: places to stay, restaurants, shops, grocery stores, cafe's, pubs, laundrette, library and if nothing else it is no problem taking the bus or as we did, walk, to other villages further away. Sure maybe a bit more expensive compared to bigger cities with the shops but I really find it to be worth it. And to help Evelyn gave us really great help and advice of where to go and not to go to not get stuck since there were more or less none returning trips. The breakfast were also really good and Evelyn definitely go above and beyond in my opinion! Thank you very much Evelyn!

The place is perfectly located right between the station and Bowness - both walking distance and the bus stop is also 5 mins away. Ken and Cindy are amazing hosts - very organised, have a well maintained guest house and extremely helpful. They recommend guests to write down the night before - what we would like to be cooked for breakfast out of a variety of options and time - We absolutely loved this system. Besides the cooked option, they also had a readily available spread. Everything was delicious. In the common guest room they have provided with ample information to plan your trip and they themselves would also provide good recommendations. Overall, a fabulous place to stay at!
