We loved just everything. Location is great - in the small village surrounded by rice fields. Beautiful waterfall and river in the walking distance. Very good breakfast with the best coffee, some desserts and fresh fruits. Ari is a wonderful host, helped us whenever we needed, organized several tours for us and even was our personal guide. We are really thankful for every day we spent in Kubu Bakas.

wow! highly recommend this place to solo travellers or people wanting to escape the tourists and experience the authentic Balinese culture. the village is very traditional and beautiful. there’s a small river close by which is the perfect setting for walks. there’s plenty of temples and waterfalls close by too along with rafting (highly recommend). Coki, her husband, her brothers and family are so welcoming. I originally booked only 2 nights as I wasn’t sure and within 2 hours of being there I extended another 2 nights. I ended up staying here for 1 week and then I moved to accommodation down the rd as I wanted to stay longer but Telagamas was booked out. I was invited to family ceremony’s and bdays, karaoke and dinner, they took me to waterfalls, local markets and a nearby traditional village. I seriously had the most amazing time!!

The family who is running this guest house is amazing. Their home is beautiful and they are incredibly accommodating. The room was spacious and breakfast was really good. They even accommodated our vegan diet. They will take you on tours of the area depending on your interests from museums to white water rafting, and they are incredibly knowledgeable about the region and what there is to do. It was really a treat to get to tay in such a beautiful balinese home, with a beautiful courtyard.
