The location is ideal. Gordon's Bay is a nice little town, not far from Cape Town or the airport. The setting is spectacular, with mountains and sea, and the beach is protected from major waves. There are a number of excellent restaurants within walking distance. The town is safe and the property secure. There is a beautiful drive along the coast towards Betty's Bay, which I highly recommend. There is a colony of African penguins there. Big Skies has a small pool, which we used in the heat of the afternoon. The breakfasts were very good, and there was a decent amount of variety. I enjoy the personal attention of guesthouses and small hotels, and Kobus and Irene were excellent hosts. Conversation at breakfast and the bar with them and other guests was enjoyable. Parking is inside the property gates and is secure.

Nice, clean, and big rooms. The host couple was very helpful. We had to cut our trip short because of covid restrictions, the host helped us in managing our trip. Nice breakfast. Fast Wifi speed. Overall happy with our 2 days stay. Will definitely visit again.

The room was delightfully cozy and spacious, boasting a large bathroom and stunning ocean vistas. And their homemade breakfast was simply divine! The penthouse is amazing! From the view, right down to the kitchen. You won’t regret staying here, the apartment is secluded enough to have privacy but open enough for you to see the entire sunset and sunrise over the bay.
