The location cannot be beat and the owners are truly delightful and friendly. They seemed happy to have a long chat but also would have been fine leaving us on our own. We felt completely comfortable there.

Ceol na Mara is well located for exploring the Isle of Harris and Isle of Lewis. Stornoway is a 45-minute drive away and Luskentyre Beach is 20 minutes by car.
Dave and Jane, the owners, go above and beyond to ensure a great stay. They are warm and make you feel at home. We wished we could have stayed longer because everything was perfect.

Great location, lovely views and outside space. Designated parking for 2 cars. Well equipped property, comfortable beds, great kitchen space. Great welcome and chats with the host. I'm sure she'd do anything to help you if needed, a lovely lady. Being just off the main road the property is ideally located for both Harris and Lewis.

Grimisdale guest house is stunning, we enjoyed staying there a lot! It‘s a wonderful place, furnished with good taste and the host is just amazing. She fulfilled every wish we had with her natural kindness! I can absolutely recommend staying at Grimisdale if you travel to Harris island!

Great location, Very helpful host who lives nearby. Many thanks for a lovely week, we enjoyed long walks with the dogs through a stunning landscape which changes with each passing cloud. The cottage is warm and extremely well equipped, perfect for relaxing after a day on your feet, Many thanks.

Excellent location - close to the main town of Tarbert, Harris but the property was in a quiet location with stunning views of both the sea and loch. Our bedroom was lovely beautiful with a wonderful shower room ensuite. The owners, John & Marlene are warm, welcoming and generous hosts. Breakfast was fresh, healthy, interesting and tasty each day - their Dunarain yogurt with granola and fresh fruit was very yummy.
