“everything...wonderful frendly owners, very much thanks to them”
“Just a fantastic hotel to stay in. Ellen Melbourne”
“Amazing hotel. The lady that runs the place was so nice and welcoming. The building is old and might seem sketch at first, but it is charming inside. After spending a month in greece this was ine of my favorite places!!”
“Location, balcony over the old little street, beautiful bedroom with antiques, even the semi-rickety louvres, all added to the atmosphere which was rich and quaint, really helpful proprietor”
“The view was unbeatable, the hotel was by far the nicest in the area along the beach - very tastefully renovated.”
“The location of this little, boutique hotel is very good, inside the castle but not on the busy path so quiet as well. Service was excellent, staff and owner were very friendly and always helpful. The room was also very nice, although nothing fancy. All in all, a great choice and excellent value for money if you are visiting Monemvasia and the castle.”
“A wonderful highlight of our trip. Perfect location wonderful original premises. Staff beautiful and friendly. We could not recommend it highly enough.”
“This is the second time round we are visiting Elafonisos Mare travelling all the way from London to the south part of Peloponese. The location of the hotel is conveniently situated near all the restaurants and shops but it is also secluded and offers a very relaxing and peaceful stay at all times away from the noise of the centre. The sunset from every spot within the premises is truly captivating and unforgettable. The hotel has a lovely pool with a nicely arranged sitting area around it. The room we had both times was a very spacious split level family room that has an amazing balcony. The wifi works great and that was really handy as we needed to catch up with emails etc and never had an issue with the connection. One of the things that have improved dramatically since our first visit was the breakfast which now consists of lovely scrambled eggs (or you can even ask for fried eggs the lovely lady that cooks), freshly baked croissants, bread, cereals, fresh fruits, cakes and a selection of cheese and ham. The service is of an excellent standard and everyone made the best to make us feel like a VIP and enjoy the most of our staying there. Especially the manager of the hotel Mr Babis Aronis was amazing and knows exactly how to treat the customers of the hotel so that they have everything they need. He was incredibly polite, smiley and proactive and made sure that we had everything we needed. He also recommended the best places to eat, booked us seize longs for the Simos beach and was great with our son as well. We have travelled a lot around the world and we know how to spot a great hotel but most importantly how to understand an excellent level of services and this place definitely deserved an excellent review! The island has the most amazing beach (Simos) that can only be compared to the Caribean so to have a great hotel to stay as well is a blessing! A little heaven on Earth!”
“Everything was excellent, spacious and warm room, greatly decorated, great location, easy access to everywhere! Loved it!”
“Lovely spacious room , well appointed , comfortable bed . Excellent location right in the heart of the town . Good value for money.”
“we were VERY pleased with our room. it was spacious with two full sized beds that were very comfortable, clean bathrooms, nice view of the castle from our balcony. good location to the center, boardwalk, nice restaurants etc. we would definitely return!!”
“This hotel is a little Gem in a small town, which had impressed me, and surprised me completely. They have even a build in ramp for disable people, including a lift. The rooms are; some simple for just a night, or more luxurious for a bit of romance, or even for a family with children. I have booked from England just for a night, I went down to Kalamata to visit a family, and then I comeback to the same hotel, simply to get a luxurious room to enjoy the beach which is 5 minutes from by taxi, and than the town which is full of life. The staff is very friendly, polite, and helpful, they managed in short time like the other reviuwer said, to send my clothes to the local cleaning shop. Thank you for your hospitality, and I personaly wish you well! Roxana B-B Totally recommended, I certainly will be back in few years!”
“From the initial contact with Panayiotis, the service from Citta dei Nicliani is superb -- quick response to email inquiries and the warmest of hospitality. Panayiotis and his parents have created an oasis for those willing to experience the Mani. His father creates the most delicious and freshest meals from one of the smallest kitchen I have ever seen (incredible food). We stayed for 3 nights and made our way back to the hotel each evening, just so we could experience whatever dish was on the menu for the evening (we tasted amazing and perfectly cooked tuna, veal mosxari with giuvetsi, pork fillet with basmati rice). The orange salad is a must. For our first evening, we had the cigale de mer (slipper lobster) accompanied by pasta -- I salivate just remembering the meal. Panayiotis is very knowledgeable about wines and we asked him to make recommendations of Greek wines to accompany our meals -- he did a wonderful job introducing us to some excellent Greek wines (there was a wonderful Rose which is a favourite of his mother, Tania). The freshly squeezed orange juice, scrambled eggs, with their own smoked meat for breakfast, are cooked perfectly (not too dry) and there is always something slightly different each morning to accompany the eggs (carob bread, mango chutney, home-made jam, sun-dried tomatoes, home-made pickled horta and chestnut spread are just some of what we tasted over three mornings). Tania and her husband are world travellers and she has brought back different salts from her travels which she shares graciously with guests at breakfast. Our room on the main floor with garden/terrace view was lovely -- beautifully and comfortably decorated with a mini bar. It was really peaceful even though the hotel was fully booked. The terrace is lovely to just relax or read (one can order drinks from the kitchen) and there is a good selection of coffee table books in the breakfast/dining sunroom.”
“Well located, ncie owners, quite”
“The hotel was fabulous, great location and very spacious room. The breakfast was good value too!”
