Very nice, spacious, quiet, and clean apartment with many good utilities. The whole apartment basically has a nice tatami floor and for sleeping there are futons which are also quite nice. The location is very convenient allowing easy and quick access to surrounding sightseeing and hiking places (i.e., with a car). Supermarkets are within walking distance. Great value for the money. Overall, we had an excellent stay.

晴家(HALELUYA) Guest House in Fujikawaguchiko provides adults-only accommodation with free bikes, a garden and a terrace. The hostel is at a very convenient location, very clean and has a good vibe. The host (Mr. Daichi) was very friendly and helpful. There was a small notebook at the reception that has recommendations for places in Japan to visit written by other guests, and I learned a lot from that list.

Renovated in September 2018, Guesthouseほのぼの offers an accommodation with free WiFi in Fujikawaguchiko, 1.3 km from Lake Kawaguchi. Absolutely nice place! The owner is handsome and helpful, he has a lot of traveling stories to share and offers free shuttle to kawaguchiko station. Bike rental is also really convenient and cheap.

Open from July 2017, Guesthouse Murabito is nestled just a 2-minute stroll away from Lake Yamanaka. Clean, close to the bus stop, friendly and helpful staff.

Offering garden views, Daikokuya Mt.Fuji is an accommodation located in Fujiyoshida, 7.5 km from Lake Kawaguchi and 23 km from Mount Fuji. It was extremely authentic. The person owning this old traditional house gladly shows you the wonderful ancient items that are there. Everything was clean, the futon was comfortable. The garden is so lovely. It felt like a trip in old Japan. We didn't see Mt. Fuji because of the weather, unfortunately, but just this house was worth it. Also the price is incredibly cheap for the experience.
