Fishermans Beach is less than 1 km from the guest house, while Windmill Beach is 1.8 km away. The nearest airport is Cape Town International, 41 km from Residence William French, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. We had the pleasure of spending one night at Residence William French in March. From the moment we arrived Primrose made us feel at home and did everything in her power to make our stay special. Dinner was a very romantic affair and the food was excellent. The Blue Room was stunning, every piece of furniture bespoke, large spacious bed with luxurious linen and the most magnificent views!

The town is safe and the property secure. There is a beautiful drive along the coast towards Betty's Bay, which I highly recommend. There is a colony of African penguins there. Big Skies has a small pool, which we used in the heat of the afternoon. The breakfasts were very good, and there was a decent amount of variety. I enjoy the personal attention of guesthouses and small hotels, and Kobus and Irene were excellent hosts. Conversation at breakfast and the bar with them and other guests was enjoyable. Parking is inside the property gates and is secure.
