This place is amazing for a quite family vacation to enjoy nature. The property is clean, rooms are large and comfortable. There are two restaurants on the premises with good food and drinks. There is a wonderful beach nearby where we enjoyed watching eagles, anemones, exploring kelp, and catching small crabs and fishes (and releasing) with my 5 and 2 year old kids.

Location! Location! as they say. Perfectly quiet at night, not too much hassle of a day time, this hotel is exactly what I was looking for to spend a few days away from the city and ride a bike on the new trail from Ucluelet to Tofino. Great trail, almost finished exept some 900 m by the intersection. Our room had a nice view over the small craft harbor which is an entertainment by itself. Kitchen was well equipped and living room was spacious and clean. Free parking next to you suite is a great bonus here.

We loved our stay (1st time) at the Black Rock. Being Pet friendly was awesome and reasonably priced. The live entertainment was great Saturday night and we experienced two amazing meals in the main restaurant Currents. Our view was listed as "Partial", but it was a beautiful full view of the ocean and had a huge balcony.

Andy was an amazing host and had many tips for our trip from trails, restaurants and entertainment. The location is excellent - we walked into town and to the start of the Wild Pacific Trail. There is a beautiful back patio where you can eat that leads to the water. I walked in on a doe having breakfast twice during our stay. Our room was clean and comfortable.

I did think it was a very quaint little bungalow. The kitchen was very workable and was enough room for the both of us to be comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub but would have liked it to be on a back deck for more privacy but all in all it was good.
