Everything was very nice. Family style. Not a partyhostel. Best hostel I've been to.
Location is excellent. Proper backpacker hostel.
Great location, excellent service, easy enough to find cheap parking within a distance. Stayed as a group of 5 and we were all comfortable, the room was very spacious and had everything we needed including kitchenette with came with kettle, microwave, stovetop, dishwasher and sink.
This was a basic backpackers hostel with friendly staff and lovely young backpackers from around the world travelling Australia. We are two retirees in our mid sixties who had booked one of the new self contained chalets around the back. They were marvelous with clean, comfortabe rooms with fridge, microwave and ensuite. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Very impressed.
Was cheap, and in a great location
Very nice owner (living on site), great location, cheap price. There was a hairdryer in female bathroom, which I appreciated.
This was my second stay. Especially appreciated the solid bunk beds and the good mattresses. Very helpful and friendly manager/staff. Great location and facilities.
Good location. There are two accommodation options - the separate cottage the good reviews refer to and the in hotel budget option. This relates to the in hotel option that is cheaper but is a true above hotel room only accommodation with shared toilets and showers. Clean in room but not in common areas, external stairway was dirty and difficult for less able to manage luggage or in the rain.
The STAFF WERE LOVELY 😍 I only stayed because my flight was cancelled. So Jetstar were paying. I have never stayed in a hotel. So after a week in dirty , cheap backpackers - I LOVED WHITE TOWELS. For people with husbands, money and jobs that's probably 'normal'... I had a shower before bed and again in the morning! Luxury!
The hostel is great. The bed was very comfortable, the dormitory room size was decent and they provided all the facilities that you would need for a short stay. The lower bunk beds even had privacy curtains which you could pull across when sleeping and a small shelf and charging point near each bed. The location is very convenient and a short walk into Hobart city centre and close to the Salamanca market. Good value for money. I would certainly recommend this place to other travellers.
