Everyone was so so nice, did the best they can to communicate with us even if they don’t speak English and we don’t speak Portuguese. Easy to meet other travelers and organize activities with everyone.

Hostel Mama Africa 2 has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Gamboa. The property’s design had modern but authentic to the island. It was one of the most beautifully decorated places I’ve stayed in my whole time in SA. It was very comfortable and very clean and I felt truly at home. Little details including fresh flowers every morning on your breakfast layout and on your bed on arrival really gave extra touches. Lily the owner truly makes you feel like family, the breakfast every morning was delicious with both sweet and savoury and home made muffins of cake each morning. I couldn’t recommend this place enough I felt like I was staying with family.

Vila Pepouze Hostel features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Morro de São Paulo. Our stay in this hostel was the best we had in our whole travel! The volunteers and staff were amazing! The breakfast is custom-made and even when we slept in because we partied the night before they left us our breakfast in the fridge! The common areas are unbeatable (pool, tree house, bar, 2 usable kitchens, outdoor gym coming soon) and the room was very clean with air-conditioning. There are always 3 super sweet cats around to cuddle with and every now and then monkeys pass by. The bar has delicious affordable drinks and the restaurant offers amazing and super cheap vegan and vegetarian food! Highly recommend this place!

Located inside a natural reserve, Universo Pol Bamboo Hostel offers accommodation in Morro de São Paulo. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. Some units include a seating area to relax. Everything was perfect, the hostel is located in the middle of the nature, but without losing any of the commodities you'd have in a city. There's hot water, everything's clean, the vibe is amazing and the bamboo constructions are beautiful! On Tuesday they host a Jam (live music) which I really recommend. The breakfast is amazing, everything's vegan and super nutritious and nourishing. The hostel is absolutely beautiful, completely surrounded by nature.

Guys, if you're ever in need of a hostel with an epic sea view, look no further! Just stayed at this gem with hammocks and it was EVERYTHING. Not only was it spacious and clean, but Marcos, the dude in charge, was the cherry on top - super friendly, receptive, and cool. Made my stay 10x better. Will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot!
