At the hostel, each room is fitted with a desk, bed linen and a balcony with a garden view. Featuring a shared bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer, rooms at Walters Hostel Interlaken also offer a mountain view. Guest rooms include a safety deposit box. Shared kitchen, well furnished with fridge and basic utilities, plus free coffee capsules. Spacious shared bathroom, all was clean and working properly. Very spacious room with table and chairs (we had a room with double bed and a single bed). No problem with the heating system or the insulation, we were not cold at all during our stay in February. Walking distance (5-10 minutes) from the Interlaken Ost train station, nearest bus stop less than 5 minutes away, impossible to get lost. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. Possibility to do laundries for a small fee; and to buy cold drinks in the shared fridge. The host was very helpful and accommodating.

Food is fresh and a lot of variety. The staff are very nice.

Surrounded by a park, Youth Hostel Interlaken features table tennis and billiards. There is also a bike rental service, and the Aare Cycle Route starts nearby. 5-minute or less walking distance from the train station and coop. 4 beds in one room, no toilets in the room but in the floor.

Location besides the lake and the place itself was fantastic, also we enjoyed cooking in the garden.
