Michael was a great host who made everyone feel welcome. Lora was very friendly and helpful as well. Sonderia is also a bar where locals come to drink. All kinds of travelers stayed there, young people, older retirees, families, foreigners and Chinese. All in all the atmosphere was great. I stayed in a private double room, which was as good as a 2 or 3 star hotel room. When I wanted privacy, I could stay in my room. When I wanted to socialize, I just go down to the bar.

If you're open minded and willing to meet local people, it's such a great place to make local friends who are working/studying in Chengdu and some speak English and want to practice! I was able to make friends and eat Hot pot with them. The main floor is clean and an old man, maybe the owner, cleans every morning. There's always water available. The location is great!
