Great location next to Coniston Water. newly refurbished room with king size bed. Breakfast was very good, as was a meal in the restaurant.

Lovely big bed, very comfortable, great buffet breakfast or made to order. Great location, short walk to the village, plenty of parking, good walks and right on the lake. I loved it. Loved the free drink option if no housekeeping taken!

Excellent food. Great location

The staff were friendly and helpful, explaining the necessary information for my stay. The meals were very good value for money as well as I was able to get a main meal and dessert for £15-£17 compared to eating in the village. The hostel is a short walk away from Coniston centre which is ideal if you plan to go for a drink with a group to one of the village's pubs. The location also makes it a cheap option for solo hikers doing the Old Man of Coniston or the other hiking trails around the area.

Great Youth Hostel accommodation - facilities all clean and perfectly acceptable. Friendly staff. On site parking and pretty grounds.
