I was a bit weary booking this place because the reviews seemed too good to be true but this was one of my favourite hostels in SE Asia and my favourite in Malaysia by far. I was so content and comfortable here that I extended my stay by another two nights. The free laundry, the steamer, and the changing room are all such wonderful touches for a girls dorm. CP is amazing and very accommodating, always wanting to help. All of this creates a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere, which is social but not disruptive. I met lovely people and made some amazing friends. I would definitely stay here again, it’s exactly the way a hostel/dorm should be done!!

Your own room, turn on the AC whole day if you want. This is very much a self service place to stay. Contact with the manager was fast and easy through WhatsApp. Stay here if you don't need any customer service, lounge, and social interaction. No suprise fees when it's time to pay.

Northam Plajı'na 1,4 km ve Wonderfood Müzesi'ne 1,2 km uzaklıkta yer alan New Great Shanghai Female Hostel, George Town'da klimalı ve özel banyolu odalar sunmaktadır. The place was quiet during my stay and it felt clean and nice. My bed was comfortable and I had a great sleep. Outlets were right next to me, so I can conveniently charge my devices, especially, I was assigned at the top bunk bed. Jean was very helpful and accommodating! She helped me get to the hostel from the airport and even recommended some shops I could visit. Communication was great between the host and guest!
