Featuring a garden, restaurant and views of city, Titicaca is located in Puno, 4.6 km from Estadio Enrique Torres Belon. We stayed with Nestor's family at Los Uros and we couldn't have made a better decision when going to Puno. Nestor picked us up at a little port outside the city and while going to the floating islands he explained us a bit about the community, the lake and the life there. We got an awesome room with an incredible view over the lake. Bare in mind that it is a rural community and this kind of stay is not a city stay. No wi-fi, which was great to disconnect. Million star hotel to rest - the sky was great to watch over the lake. I even assisted Ana (Nestor's wife) at preparing dinner for us - the most delicious fish we could have asked for. We slept perfectly well with a lot of blankets and Ana even prepared us hot bottles to warm up the bed. Although we didnt have the time to go on tours with Nestor, some other guests went and I can only imagine how amazing that must have been. If you're thinking about sleeping at a floating island, do ask for Nestor!
