a localização do hotel e o preço, assim como a simpatia da gerência perante a incompetencia e mau profissionalismo dos funcionarios.

Há muito barulho durante a noite nas proximidades do hotel .o que dificulta o descanso. A televisão não tinha todos os botões o que dificultava a sua utilização e no quarto não havia comando.

Demasiado calor no quarto. Deveria haver ar condicionado.Pelo menos deveriam fechar as portadas de madeira durante o dia.O barulho da rua é muito durante a noite, mas com a janela fechada o quarto não arrefece.

Da localização.

Quem for utilizar o hotel tem de ficar atento aos seguintes detalhes:a) os interruptores tem entradas redondas. Levar sempre um adaptador.b) Cuidado com os funcionários da noite. Eles não fazem nada para ajudar os hóspedes. Nada. A ponto de ter de se ficar sem ventilador (porque não há ar condicionado), num calor de 37º porque alegam que não têm chave de onde eles os aparelhos ficam acondicionados

Noise from traffic all through the night

The staff were quick to respond when we had to ask for a change of rooms due to excessive noise during the night.

The hotel is in need of refurbishment and enhancement of facilities. The bathrooms do not have any ventilation and during the period we were there, with high outside air temperatures, the rooms were hot and humid. Generally, the hotel looks "tired".

The position of the hotel

We found the Asturias to be the perfect location for exploring the Puerta del Sol section of Madrid. We were only a block away from the Puerta itself, and a block away from the nearest Metro station. The convenience of this location made it ideal for walking to the Plaza Mayor, the Prado and Reina Sofia museums, and to the Palacio Real. The hotel is quite adequate, especially for its price.

The hotel is rather old, so it could use some updating with regards to its elevator, stairs, furniture, etc., but even so, it has a lot of charm. It's positive aspects far outweighed any negatives. We had read several negative reviews about the Asturias, but found them to be rather nitpicky!

Location is superb, couldn't get better in Madrid.

In one room the beds were uncomfortable, another room was very small for a triple and there was a lingering odour. Only having one lift sometimes caused a long wait or meant walking up a lot of stairs with bags.

Great Location, near the metro so easy to get around!

Food was over priced and terrible! I had spaghetti which was clearly out of a tin!!
