This is an excellent hotel, with excellent staff, ambience and accommodation. Their dinner menu of the day is exceptional value for money. Our only regret was that we could not stay an extra night, as the hotel was fully booked.

Having to pay for overnight parking was a small irritant.

The size of the bed was impressive. The breakfast was very good.

It was a bit further from the city centre than I was led to believe (a good 20 mins walk)

Too far away from centre of Girona. Not enough staff (1 staff during peak period for check-in/check-out/concierge) to service customers at front desk/concierge.

Location poor and unattractive. Noise from railway line.

The service was very poor, information inaccurate in hotel guide in room, facilities were extremely poor- no coffee with room service- bar only open at 7.00p.m., extortionate pricing for meals in restaurant, no communication between staff on different shifts, ordered an early breakfast twice since we had a very early flight and even though member of staff wrote it down we did not get it.

Excellent value for money.

Location is a bit off downtown (old part) so one needs to make his way (and taxis are particulary not cheap there...).

Very unpersonal business hotel. Rather far from the centre despite comments on their website.

Very comfortable hotel-good rate (best rate was on booking.com). Helpful, friendly staff, who spoke good english-a relief as our spanish/catalonian is v weak! Room was good size & we were well looked after. Didn't try out breakfast, but the restaurant's evening set menu was a good meal/value. A mini bar, safe & great choices of pillow (gr8 4 my dodgy neck & ensured a good night's sleep!)

The hotel was probably a bit too far from the 'old city' to make it an easy walk & we didn't manage to get on a bus, so we relied on taxi's quite a bit (but 'old city' definitely worth a visit). Although the room had air con - it worked on the key-card and never seemed to cool the room sufficiently-which I would have found too be pretty uncomfortable in the warmer months.

The worker who helped me try to figure out why the wireless connection on my computer never worked...their server was weak and unreliable...he was genuinely tormented at my inability to use it!

It seemed stale and old, despite its reputation. The location was not the best for a solo ambulatory traveler, not too helpful when I asked for local directions to tourist destinations, no good restaurants nearby...but Girona is wonderful.
