l'albergo è ubicato in un buon contesto urbano, zona molto tranquilla, il personale è molto accogliente peccato che le camere siano un pò troppo piccole, comunque vanno bene per il pernottamento |

It was convenient for a family visit and because of the rate I paid (special deal) it was good value. We were given a turret room which had excellent views of the city. I left a service issue with reception on departure as the thermostat on the shower in my room was not working. |

Good restaurants, convenient for transport, peaceful location. No lift (we were at the top and had heavy luggage), water pressure in bath and shower unpredictable and temperature difficult to control. |

the reception staff made you feel most welcome right from the outset, the location was really good breakfast was really good and evening dinner was nice. |

The hotel was situated very close to the two places we needed to visit during Tuesday, Morningside and The Guthrie Care Home. We were on the ground floor with a service road right outside the window where local residents parked their cars. A simple net curtain say half way up the window, would have ensured a bit more privacy. |

I like the size of the hotel (not too big but just big enough), friendly helpful staff, nice rooms, good price, warm and relaxing atmosphere. Good food and service in the restaurant.Welcoming after a hard day of business in Edinburgh No - though I do prefer a room that's not on the ground floor. |

Liked the old fashioned ambience of the hotel. Staff at reception were very helpful for any questions or requests we had. The Braids is a beautiful old majestic hotel. I intend to stay there again when I visit Edinburgh and will recommend it to friends. |

The food was excellent; as much breakfast as anyone could eat. The outlook was also wonderful with views over the golf course and over Edinburgh in some rooms. Not a brilliant late night service at the bar. |

Enjoyed being on the outskirts of the city within easy reach of the city centre by bus. We visited during a holiday weekend when there were two functions on the Friday & Saturday night. We would recommend checking with the hotel to have rooms further away from the function suite in the future. Holiday weekend stays are also more expensive for our budget and we would normally stay outwith any peak periods. |

Extremely friendly and efficient Reception was a good start. The room was excellent with a lovely outlook. Breakfast was all one could have wished - and Nino was wonderful ! The Bistro is an asset. Not a grumble - more an observation. The shower tray leaked quite badly. I mentioned it to the Receptionist before I left. |

Comfortable,unfussy, traditional style hotel made us feel welcome from our arrival until departure. Friendly staff, everything very easy to find/use. Breakfast good choice and quality.Free newspaper Poor choice of white wine in the cocktail bar |

The staff were very friedly and helpful, good choice of dining, good food at reasonable prices, hotel very well situated for getting in and out of the city. The heating was rather erratic, our room on the front of the hotel was not really warm enough, our daughter's room on the back was too hot! However when we told the staff they immediately got us a portable heater and offered us a change of room so were very pleased with their response. |

Staff were extremely accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed We had seven rooms booked and two of the rooms were very cold, we also had elderly people in our party which I mentioned in booking, unfortunately the stairs were just too much. |

The staff were friendly. Good Location. Good breakfast. super views of Edinburgh from the room. Considering the number of guests and the fact there was a wedding reception and other events on - it was quite quiet. Decor of the rom was a bit dated - and could do with a lick of paint, especially in the bathroom. |
