The basic room was terrible, small, dark and gloomy with no view. We had to pay extra to get an acceptable room and even this was below the standards we expect of a 4/5 star hotel. We will not use this hotel again although we visit Nottingham twice a month. |

Good staff. Excellent service. Good location. Loved the breakfast. Hot and beautifully cooked. Room was hot.(you cannot control weather!) and I had some minor difficulty with turning on TV. |

Staff were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was vey good. Excellent location for the concert we attended at the Trent Arena. Decor is a bit on the gloomy side and some parts of the hotel are in need of redecoration and refurbishment. Slightly expensive. |

The Lace market Hotel is the hotel I choose every time I stay in Nottingham, it is a hotel with a face, provides good qualiy accommodation, that is more than just a hotel and attention to detail makes it a little special The last time I stayed it was very busy and the service, although not awful, wasn't up to the usual standard- for example - breakfast on cold plates and things missing from table |

Restaurant food is very good both for evening meal and breakfast. Lack of air-conditioning in rooms. Have to keep windows closed due to noise from outside street, as a result room gets too hot in warm weather. Bathrooms could do with re-decorating, paintwork is a bit shabby. Washbasins are not practical (water spout too low). Service in restaurant ar breakfast time not very good. Evening is fine. |

Very good breakfast and friendly helpful staff who readily accommodated a late check-out. Was treat to have a bath in the room and lovely toiletries. Nice view from bedroom window and very quiet setting. Good desk in room and nice firm mattress. Iron in room didn't work properly. |

Reception helpful & v. efficient. Breakfast very good. Room excellent - Especially comfort of bed/bathroom facilities. Location excellent for central Nottingham. Local pub (owned) by hotel was not available on Satuday night due to a private function. |

Staff courteous, professional and helpful. Really lovely breakfast. Location of hotel brilliant - Lace market area very interesting and very good shopping nearby. The Lace Market is one of my favourite boutique hotels. |
