The hotel was in a good location for Fistral Beach and was a good base for travelling around Cornwall. We had a gorgeous view of the beach from our window which was lovely to wake up to each morning. It was approximately half an hour's walk from Newquay centre but there are some nice local pubs within a much shorter walking distance. We found the staff in the hotel very warm and welcoming and we were given useful advice upon arrival on where to go around the local area. I think that we got what we paid for, with a basic but hearty breakfast each morning. I would definately recommend this hotel for other young couples looking for cheap accomodation within driving distance of lots of lovely places. Unfortunately, we found the beds were not the most comfortable. We stayed in the triple room with a 'double' bed and a single. However, the 'double' was actually a 3/4 size and we found we were unable to sleep in it together so one of us slept in the single bed. We also found the hotel quite noisy on a night- the walls are thin and we were kept awake by other guests in joining rooms and guests in the adjacent hotel. |

The staff were lovely, Nicola was a really nice and helpful. The hotel was in a fantastic location, just a short walk from Fistral Beach. Breakfast was nice. I think that it was real value for money, we had chosen to stay in a budget room and it didn't disappoint. |

Far enough away from Newquay to be quiet, near enough to get to. Clean, quiet and a lovely view from bedroom window. |

Friendly staff,comfortable room with a good view of the beach. Very good value for money. In a good area which was quiet and within short walking distance of town and the beaches. Nice family style hotel. |

The owner, staff and view of the beach. Close proximity to town and atractions. Bathroom a little small for the larger guest. Single bed was uncomfortable, however it's meant for a child. |

Friendly, family run hotel - with helpful staff and clean rooms. Food was nice and nothing was too much trouble. Bit far to walk to town with small children - but the up side to this was, we were away from the Hen and Stags "do" |

Cheap, good location near beach and town, but quiet in the evening. On- street parking without charge (nearly everywhere charges for parking in cornwall....) reasonably easily available Room was very small (but no doubt cheap for this reason). Looks like recent work hat not been cleaned up after (sawdust pile under window?) |

The hotel was a bit tatty in the communal areas but the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The owner gave us some good advice on where to eat in the evenings. |

Room was too small to be classed as a double. The only parking facilities were taken up by the families cars, and even a big truck that the husband drove. Other parking on the street was for very few cars. Very far out of town and a car is required to get to the hotel. |

A very confortable bed. The Hotel was ok, but the first impression I got was when I telephone saying I was arriving quite late and the person said she was 'Drunk' and xxxx. I re-telephoned another day where I received a better answer. One other point is that they do seem in a rush to clean your room. I was packing up on my last day and there was someone cleaning my room at 9:30am before I had finished packing my things. |
