The quality of the furnishings in the room - the decor - the service - all made a welcome change from Italian Hotels. |

We stayed at their sister hotel next door called Grand Savoia. Reminded me of what a true hotel looked like years ago. A real Gem steps to the train station. I was in awe when I saw it. Antique Furnishings in the lobby and dining room. |

We actually stayed at their sister hotel,Hotel Savoia, next door as Hotel Continental was under renovations. This was a 4-5 star hotel priced much lower. We will definitely stay there again. Everything was perfect and the restaurant in the hotel was excellent. |

The hotel exceeded my expectaions, I booked it quickly due to a last minute change in my schedule. It was within walking distance to most of Genoa's attractions and very close to the train station without being distubed by the noise. The spa bath was a surprise and much appreciated after a tiring day. The staff were most accomodating and very friendly. |

The staff were very cordial and I noticed that if you make even the slightlest preference for a service they do actually get it done for you. I liked the hotel a lot, full of character I think if you like that 20s style. The only slight drawback is to get to the very centre of Genova you have to walk around 15-20 mins. There is a bus service but as with other bus services in Italy, they are annoying since you have to pre-purchase the ticket and not just pay the driver. So if you don't mind walking or are using taxis, it's ok. |

Awesome breakfast. Hotel name was a bit confusing. Technically we stayed at the Grand Hotel Savoy, next door, but owned by the same company. |

Acturlly, it just located in the opposite corner of the train station. But I spent half an hour to friend it. It's hard to find it by the address. But easy to find it by knowing it is just beside a phamacy. the door is locked, I should checkin through the hotel next to the continental |

The staff were amazing. Friendly, helpful, multilingual, and they attended to our requests immediately. The breakfast buffet was great--lots of variety. The location was perfect for walking to the harbour or getting busses to attractions in the city. The hotel restaurant was next door in it's sister hotel. They promoted it because it was new, and the terrace view was stunning, but the food was pretty lacklustre for a supposed 4star hotel. I'd rather have paid more for better food. Perhaps they'll improve as they get underway, but for now I'd recommend eating elsewhere. |
