Room was very clean, pleasant staff, internet available (no computers though) and airconditioning and small refrigerator in room. Room was very 'spartan', no seats/chairs, no hooks for towels or clothing. No facilities like drinks or bar. |

I had given my documents to the front desk for safe keeping, when I went to get it from the desk in the evening before departure, I was told that the manager had taken the safe's key home as he did not trust the front desk staff. I was forced to take a taxi to the managers home (cost USD 100) to pick up the key. |

Convenience to the universities in the area. The computer was not working. Access to technology is key for many travelers. |

Central, safe area, friendly and helpful staff, quiet room, comfortable bed. Very dirty bathrooms, no toilet paper, a tiny shelf to put the toiletries on, extremely inconvenient. If I were to recommend it, only to students on budget. |

Simple and straightforward for the economy price of people looking to attend a graduation in the area, but clean and efficient while being "bare bones" logding. I would have liked a room with my own bathroom, but booked too late for that. Otherwise, there was no problem. |

The bed was comfy and room clean. Good price for NYC. You get what you pay for and don't go expecting any more than that. Neighbourhood is OK and there is an superb bagel place a block up on Broadway. 24 hrs - always someone on the desk and generally polite. Noisy! We had a ground floor room and could hear everything: the staff, heating, pipes etc. But on the up side there is little traffic noise. TAKE EARPLUGS!! Too many staff to keep track of and they all had different information with no consistency in answers. |

Price was fair for it's location, receptionist was very helpful - we had two additional persons in our party and she kindly combined us in bigger rooms than we had booked. Common rooms (especially bathrooms and kitchen) were not clean, one bathroom door did not open properly from inside. Very bad windows and terribly noisy heating and waterpipes. Hotel has contract with taxi company which is more expensive than yellow cab and also with very bad attitude. Taxi we ordered arrived 20 min. later and was not even properly marked as taxi. |

Some people at the reception were very friendly. The room was very quite vor New York. That was really good. With line 1 it was easy to come town town. The neighborhood was very good for shopping food and there was a nice bagel place (Zagat rated) not far awy. The tlephone did not work the whole time of my stay (five days). Some of the employees dried to help me very much, another, she was wuite rude to my friends when they did not get a connection to my room. But I think this instance was just bad luck. All in all a good hotel in this price range. |

The desk staff was helpful and cheerful. We ended up with a private bath as well, which was really nice. The room was small and there wasn't anything fancy, but it was perfect for what we needed (a bed to sleep on and a place to shower in the morning). Allows customers to store bags in locked room before/after check-in/out. |

Staff were friendly and informative, and the location was excellent (between Central Park and Broadway, 2 minutes walk from the subway) Heating was extremely noisy - despite repeated complaints, very little was done to remedy the situation. |

Price. Location. Heating was not working properly in my room. Overall hotel comfort experience was not great but I think it was acceptable considering the very appealing price. |
