Grandvalira has the largest skiable area in the Pyrenees, and is one of southern Europe's leading ski resorts. It was created in 2003, when the resorts of Soldeu el Tarter and Pas de la Casa Grau Roig were connected. Grandvalira is located in the north of Andorra, near the French border. It has a skiable area of 193 km, with slopes of different levels of difficulty. It is suitable for all ages and all types of skier. There is a freestyle zone and a ski school, with specialist instructors and children's classes. The resort also has a wide range of bars and restaurants.

Area information

Thanks to the excellent location of the hotel, guests have an array of things to do during their stay. From the well equipped sports center with a swimming pool, tennis court, racquetball, gym that is located next to the hotel, to the Grandvalira ski slopes. Guests enjoy free transportation to the ‘Funicamp’ (cable car) and the hotel can arrange ski passes, equipment rental, reservations, lessons and ski store for you.

During the summer months there is a multitude of excursions you can take through the stunning mountains ranges in the country suitable for all capabilities. There are professional guides that your can contract or you can join one of the excursions run by the tourist office of Encamp.

For families that travel with youngsters fun and enjoyment is guaranteed, you can rent mountain bikes, horseback riding and what’s offered at the Grandvalira, Vallnord and La Rabassa ski resorts.

You can also visit different museums throughout the region, walk the ‘ruta del romanico’ or spend a day in the splendid Caldea Thermal Spa center.

La TV de la habitación, al estar muy alta en la pared, no se veía bien desde la cama. La atención del personal deja mucho que desear. He estado en muchos hoteles de todas las categorias.Está catalogado como 3 estrellas y, como mucho le daría 2. Los suelos de la habitación son de plaqueta y en invierno se agradece algo más cálido.
