The staffs does not know the word customer service. They are so snobbish and unhappy with their jobs. Especially that fat Filipina lady. I thought I'd be comfortable with them since I'm also a Filipino but they treat me and my family a second class citizen. We book for 2 rooms. They book us in a very small room 302, uncleaned, even with a spider in a the bathroom. We told them this, but they don't seem to care!!!! so lousy. Was not worth at all! The second room was a decent size but no balcony and no view at all. There were a lot of empty rooms, were with a nice garden view or a pool view, but they didn't even care to please us. I will never ever goo back there!!!!
The hotel was not well signposted and was difficult to find especially the reception desk. The hotel was average with no minibar or tea or coffee facilities in the room which we found totally unacceptable! The English pub was very expensive and the food was of a very poor standard. We did tell the staff about the food issues but we were still charged. Layout of room is difficult and we each had issues accessing the wardrobe due to the wall mounted TV not clever. Reasonable location but everything was average may be ok
Very good place, calm, very close to the beach. View for the golf or the garden - both are fine. Kids play area with nanny for free.
Internet cost - 120 AED per day Big choice for breakfast, but the quality not the best one.
Very cooperative staff, good location, clean room, value for money facilities, breakfast was good. Guest had option to use Al Hamra Palace facilities.
Very quiet and nice
Internet was very pricey. In an age when it is free everywhere
Loved the beach and the fact that you can choose where to have breakfast.
The gardens and pool are good. Staff are friendly and even though a queue when I arrived was quickly through check in. The locality of a sister hotel with beach and pool facilities was great. Room was quiet and nice terrace balcony on ground floor easy access to pool etc.
Towels are old and need replacing. The tap in the basin broke when first used (it was quickly repaired though!) Paying for Wi-Fi and you have to buy a separate ticket for each computer/pad, also logging in is a chore instead of just giving room number, name and date of departure you have to complete a questionnaire!!! Lack of English beer in the English Village pub!
Room was not quiet worth the AED600 a night with breakfast. Breakfast buffet was quiet nice coffee was cheap and horrible and got cold very quickly. Balcony on room was dirty and needed re painting. Palm trees outside had dying leaves and could have been trimmed to make it look neat. Staff were pleasant. When issued with towel rad it was not explained that towels were to be returned in order to recieve card back for return on departure. When I had booked I stated I would bring cot for a 5 month old I would have thought the hotel may note this comment and give us a ground floor access for a pram but was on a high floor and carrying an infant down stairs that slippery and no pram access was disappointing.
The room didn't even have Tea/Coffee making facilities... infact when I asked for an extra empty glass in the room, I was told I have to order a juice! Ofcourse I argued and then they sent me two glasses. Breakfast would have been good but there was a hair in my omelette which totally put me off my appetite.. The bathtub was clogged and definitely needs to be changed. It's ironic that they told us that we were upgraded to a Classic room.. I wonder what the Standard room would be like!!
We ask for babybed for more that 4 hours until they provide
Front desk staff had been very friendly and cooperative. We were a group of 12 families with lot of kids. Everyone liked the place. Rooms were clean and quiet. Overall, excellent and a real value for money. Would love to go back again.
Buffet breakfast could be better.
Location, water sport activities, beach and pool
Location very nice, value of money, very quit for families with children.
It missed children swimming pool for age 3-5 years. The min. Depth was arround 145m.
Easy to get to the golf course. Price of rooms for the location are very reasonable
Furniture a bit dated
The staff were very friendly and helpful always a smile ;) loved that you could use the facilities over at the Palace too. The junior suite was great . All very well cared for and clean. Would definatly return ;)
Pool towels were unavailable on three occasions a little shabby too ;( some need replacing.Mini bar in the room could be colder. Really dissapointed with the buffet the choice for dinner was poor. We would have liked to upgrade to All inclusive but way too expensive. There were a few rats running along the railings at night outside the balcony but it's on a golf course and water that's Dubai very use to seeing this as we live in Dubai.
Location, size of the junior suite is large, breakfast buffet is clean and has several good options, beach access
Lots of european tourists who get up early and stake out their beach chairs, only place for free wifi is in the english pub
Price very reasonable Location good Staff were really friendly and helpful
Noisy at night Breakfast was very poor (beef bacon badly prepared, soggy greasy has browns even my wife's freshly made omelette disappointed)
staff is OK but they lack communication skills. Location near the mall is good, that is important as the hotel's restaurant offer very basic and untasty food, so you need a good alternative.
- i requested additional baby cot for my baby, but the response is that they dont have any available (my expectation is they do but they are trying to force people to upgrade to a larger room) - some of the electricity sockets in the room do not work, so i couldnt make the baby's bottle cleaner work, as an alternative i requested a kettle so i can boil some water to dip the bottles in but the response AGAIN was they do not have any available kettles!!! amkes me wonder how many baby cots and kettles, etc.. they have in the HOTEL?! - the second day of our stay we came back top the room to find out there were no towels in the bathroom although the room was clean, and we had to stay an hour soaking in the room until the guy came with some towels, no explanation was made why he didnt bring the towels from the start when he cleaned the room. - WiFi price is exagerated, it is 40 derhams an hour ($12/hour). - the whole hotel was Russian tourists, and as they seem to regularly come from there, some parts of teh hotel are exclusive! I took my 3-year old daughter to the kids club as they had some kids activities there while we got denied becasue my daughter cant speak Russian so they wil not be able to communicate with her..just a reminder this is called Hamra village hotel and not some Russian Moscow hotel!!! - Having all these Russian tourists around was also disturbing as they speak absolutely no English and they are a bit rude, so expect to be jumped in the breakfast queue and do not expect any appologies as it seems they are used to such behavior. - Pool water was freezing cold although the pool guy kept confirming the temperature is 29 degrees but it was obvious the water heating system (if any) was not working. - A guy from the hotel stood by the door that takes you to the pool area and each time keeps staring at the bags we hold and repeating that it is not allowed to carry any food which made me angry at the end and i told him that i really understood him!
Location Pool Parking Balcony Pool side View Break Fast
Room Size was very small to be accommodated with kids
privacy place & the golf view
the food dealy when you order it take us more than 50 min to get food order and when its arrived was awful not eatable and cold . and then I have to order American coffee it takes 25 min and it was so cold too , service generally is so bad
Great value junior suite, beautiful beach lovely pools loads to do
Toilets at the pool could do with being cleaned more often
They upgraded our room to junior suite. "because of availabilty of rooms" helfull staff Room was well furnished and organized.
shopping area is 5 minutes far by car. pool at the hotel was crowded. need to go to the other sea side pool by shuttle bus. Had a problem with Local guest over parking slot. "although the hotel staff was the one who told me to park here.
Location is good but fridge is not working and front desk is not that friendly to their guest.. They even dont know how to handle their guest properly.. But place is good and ambiance is nice
English pub was good , swimming pool was fine
Pillows , tv , room size,
location rooms are big with a small adjoining room
