I liked nothing at all This is an old, badly maintained and badly run apartments. The staff are way below any standard, they are simply rude. And the manager, whom I met as a last resort to sort a situation, was even worse. I strongly advise against this place, I went there because of the money and the availability, I regretted it and I learnt a lifetime lesson.

This hotel was the most disgusting place I have ever stayed in. My family and I could not rest or relax at all. There were dead bugs all over the bathroom floor, the rugs were filthy, the couches had cigarette burn holes in them. The bed sheets had obviously not been changed or cleaned because they were literally full of hair. This place was the epitome of gross!

Friendly staff and good accomodation for a family At arrival time, when we showed the reservation regarding 1350AED excluding 10% for tax and services, the charged us 300AED extra for because of Arab health exhibition.

Unfortunately - I did not like any of the facilities in the hotel I did not like - the cleaning level of the rooms, the baths, the kitchen equipments, the telephone in the living area is not working, the entrance to the garage from the lifts is so dirty in fact it opens on the ware house of the hotel all spare parts of the hotels in the garage, and a lot of other things.

Swimming pool was quite unique and good for the kids Completely got our booking wrong and had major hassles getting a non-smoking room. Ended up with a 1 bedroom apartment (for 5 of us) instead of a 2 bedroom non-smoking apartment. Only seemed to get things you needed when the reception lady was at the desk - all other staff seemed incapable of following through. Eg. We asked them for extra towels, they never came. We asked them to book a large taxi for our return to the airport (24 hours notice) and none was ordered etc!

Cleanliness of the room was fair at best. bathtub had terrible dirt stains (like it had never been cleaned), washcloths unavailable, carpet dirty, kitchen smelled like mildew, dish drainer was too dirty for use, the in room washing machine did not work (maybe it was just for display), also aircondition was faulty it blew air at little more than room temperature, would have been better off just using a fan in the room. I will never ever stay there again. The place was a complete dump, a waste of time and money. The staff was friendly though. I would not recommend Al Shams Hotel to my friends or associates. The Golden Sands appeared to be a better hotel and it is right across the street from Al Shams.

The staff are very good , helpful , The hotel is very cleaned, well furnished, i like the place quiet , near to the business center and most of all the price is very good. nothing for me this hotel is perfect, and i will go back by April to stay again with my family for vacation in Dubai.

الفندق غير صالح للسكن جميع الغرف قذره والحمامات لاتنفع لأي استخدام والطاقم كاذبون لأبعد الحدود اتمنى من صاحب الفندق استغلال الارض وتحويله الى سوبرماركت او حلاق او محل احذيه اي شيء اخر غير الفندق

الفندق غير نظيف بتاتا ويوجد به صراصير والاثاث مستهلك وغير نظيف ولا والحمامات ايضا قذره وصدأه وعندما رأيت الفندق من الداخل الغيت حجزي وذهب لفندق اخر ولا انصح به
