Calm place in the middle of the desert, unsusual set-up. Great comfort, pleasant place to be. Very good, polite and helpfull staff. Activities included in the night rate.
After reading very good reviews, I expected more "arabic" breakfast and diner buffet, but I know I have high expectations. If you get there on your own, try to get there prior to nightfall as doing the road on your own in the dark might be challenging if not used to the UAE.
Venue, dune bashing, food, accomodation.
Booking indicated would pay at site. THerefore I booked 2 rooms secured with my card, intending to allow my friends to pay for their own. I even communicated this in advance and my card was charged in full for both. When requested at property to comply with reservation terms, the response was "sorry" and nothing was done to resolve. This is a huge inconvenience for me to collect funds from my friends in another country whereas they wanted to use their credit card. Poorly adminstered and wasn't resolved.
Perfect place to disconnect completely. Great rooms Great evening entertainment Very friendly staff
The service at the pool is so poor. i felt I was in a 3 stars hotel. They have no food or drink menu. When you check in, they give you Golden Coin to pay for anything in the hotel. I felt I was playing monopoly. When your coins are over, you need to go to the reception and ask for more coins. This is so useless . Why can't I just pay at the check out and sign receipts whenever I use pr order something like 100% of the hotels worldwide!!!??? When I ask the receptionist, she repeats the same answer: This is how we do it here, and it s part of our internal policy....!!! I also witnessed a manager shouting at the staff as if they were animals. This is a real shock and a sad scene
This hotel located in the heart of the desert. We went to the hotel by our own car, so we were able to made as many stops as we want. Sand, camels on the way.... Hotel itself very beautiful with good furnished pool area. Rooms decorated in Arabian style, all fruits and drinks in the room is free. Dinner was excellent, good choose of meals.
I went with there with my 2 children ages 4 and 6. They really loved everything. We stayed 3 nights which is on the edge of being too much for most adults. I would suggest 2 nights to do everything in a leisurely way. Apart from that we thought everything was quite lovely.
The price was too high for the facilities but we went during Eid which tends to push up rates. If I had to criticize, I would say that they should upgrade the pool facility by maybe adding a waterslide for kids and maybe a small lazy river. Also they should review the policy to children in dune bashing or strictly apply it. We saw a lot of dangerous practice (children sitting on the laps of parents without safety belts). I think at minimum either apply the "no under 6" policy or insist on child seats.
Almost everything. The locations, all the activities, the food...
the pillows :( Too hard.
The service was very good; not too pushy but always attentive. The facilities were very good, particularly our little hut. There were a range of activities, though we did not actually take them up because it was probably a bit too hot.
The only issue with the place was the food, which was surprisingly western and nondescript (chicken nuggets etc). Considering how much time and effort went into embracing the arabic lifestyle, I would have preferred more authentic meals (though there were arabic dips and salads).
Had a short stopover in Abu Dhabi, and decided to spend a night at the Arabian village. Really enjoyed getting out into the desert, an amazing experience if you've never been before. Plenty of beautiful photo opportunities. Took up all of the activities on offer - 4WD dune bashing, camel riding and quad bikes - and had lots of fun. Staff, rooms and theme of the village were impeccable. Would highly recommend a night here.
Had some initial hiccups with a delayed pick up process, so got to the resort about an hour late. This was largely the fault of other guests however (not the resort) who were late to the pick up point. The resort offers a typical Buffet breakfast and dinner spread. Pleasant, but don't expect a culinary dining experience to write home about. This is not what this resort is about. The complimentary mini bar, and welcome fruit, water and dates were a nice touch.
The service at this hotel was beyond expectations, they were very helpful and concern on guest comfort. I will definitely recommended. Beautiful location and great food.
The pool needs to be cleaned.
Excellent accommodation, friendly staff, delicious food.
We had the pool to ourselves the whole day!!!
As we were the only ones there, the service around the pool was very minimal...we had to go looking for staff to get drinks
Wonderful stay during winter and spring,, we enjoyed sand surfing, staff were friendly and helpful
There were no TV and Internet connection
The staff are excellent and took great care of us. The dune bashing was fun. The evening entertainment was of a very high standard. The desert at night is beautiful. Swimming in the desert is phenomenal.
The stay fully met and exceeded the expetation of our desert dream.Great, fantastic experience! Staff were very professional and kind. The setting and quality of rooms, food, pool... are excellent, especially in the desert. We made some mistakes during the booking and also when drove on our own to the Village and got lost near sunset..., the staff and their supervisor were extremely kind and decent to provide great help and solutions.
It would be more than perfect if the indication at the entry (from main accessing road) could be more visible and formal, because the"gate" as mentioned on the access map was gone and the current construction was not obvious to be looked like a real gate. Then, everyting was 200% satisfactory.
No basic hotel service
Great fun; beautiful location.
Great vale for money. Wonderfull setting amongst the pristine dunes. Warm welcome. Very comfortable 4x4 transport to and from Abu Dhabi.
too much travellers from tourism opérator dinner finish at 8! no tv no internet
Remote desert location Entertainment over dinner
Cold/unheated swimming pool in Dec. No fitness center
Absolutely nothing! Thank you for a wonderful time!
Great location for a short trip/ weekend in the desert. Beautiful accommodation (different types, we had the Barasti houses with palm leaf cover), all arranged like small villages. Nice pool with different types of chairs, chaiselongues, shaded seating areas and pool bar. Some activities included (camel riding, dune bashing, henna painting, show with belly dancer in the evening). Surrounded by beautiful dunes where you can walk a bit and find a good place for a sundowner. Usual Arabian/ Indian buffet, good food. Friendly staff. Beautiful and quiet place to relax, nothing for party people or nighthawks.
Bar (serving alcohol) closed very early in the evening. Staff on reception little slowly and not too smart, but efforts are being made...
the full experience
Rooms are truly beautiful and spotless. The village is located in the middle of the desert, so you can get the real experience. The dinner animation is really nice, done by professionals. Dune bashing is great, and the drivers are exellent.
Dunes around the property are dirty, you can find glasses, plastic papers and more. Pls pls pls, clean it! Although lot's is included in the package, you'll find yourself rushing through it. We were dropped at the village at 16:15 and at 16:30 activities starts. We has to check in and have a welcome drink in 15 minutes...impossible! You have to share the 4x4 for the dune bashing with other people. Than you have the camel ride, which lasts 5 minutes. The lady that does the henna tattoo leaves at 18:30 (and nobody tells you) so if you want to have a shower first, there's no chance you can make it. Dinner is served from 18:30 until 20:30, so you go straight from the welcome drink. Food is everage ans shisha is not included (60 ead). By 20:30 most of the people will leave and you'll be left with nothing. Even though the bar closes at 22:00, by 21:00 people will start to put plastic on couches and they just sit there, waiting for you to leave, which does make you leave at the end... No hairdryer in the room nor at the reception.
We would definitely recommend Arabian Nights Village. The location was amazing, food and activities were also very good. Staff was very pleasant. Worth spending more than 1 night to really appreciate the surroundings.
