I thought the rooms were expensive for the size.

The place is well located downtown Abu Dhabi and nice spot to enjoy meeting friends outside for a drink. Living and historic :)

Being one of the oldest hotel in town is providing a lot of Charlie, though corridors and rooms would definitely enjoy a refreshing now ;-)

the reception is quite fast and no treable.

the sea isn't so good and also the dehor is a little dearty and in general is convenient keep a hotel near to see and use the public beach more beatiful.

1.There was a few nice restaurants down the hotel, good choices. 2. was giving complimentary fruit basket and coffee and the lounge.

1.Noise due to some construction going on near the hotel and in at swiming pool area also. 2.The valet parking guys was curious and unfriendly. 3.I was kept in the lobby with my family waiting for them to clean the room,eventhough i arrived at 2 pm. moreover, when i asked about the delay, i have been told that they are giving me better room with sea view, but unlucky when i entered to my room it was std. room with no balcony and no sea veiw.

Staff are very bad they will not do anything you ask. And the Room Service if call them they will not give chance and they don't want to spent time with you . they will transfer your call without telling you anything. They don't respect the client. I will never go back there.

We orderd the pick up service from Dubai Airport to the hotel, two weeks ago and the receiption confirmed it before our arrival. However, the driver did not await the arrival gate at Dubai Airport. We cannot understand any reasons. In addition, some facilities are little bit old.

There is nothing to like about this hotel!

Yes it is an old hotel - but there is no excuse for not cleaning rooms, empty rubbish have tv that works, staff that dont think you are an inconveniance to their day. Horrible experiance - I had 2 weeks in Abu Dhabi and would have left day 1 but they wouldnt refund my already paid for room. Beach Rotana is just down the road and is basically same price yet amazing!

Nice location if you want to be in the city. Shops and shopping mall very close and walking distance from the hotel. Could walk to Mug & Bean at the mall and have a good breakfast for half the price. Will be a Nice relaxing lagoon area,once the construction all around the lagoon is completed.( The term Beach is used very loosely,) Staff friendly and helpful.

Hotel smoking policy, if they have one, because we found people smoking in the sitting area by the reception and outside lifts. We booked 2 non smoking rooms but was given 1 smoking one and it had a very strong smell of smoke although we were assured it is freshened up. Also seems like you don't have a choice, because both our rooms had fully stocked mini bars, that we had to pay a AED500 DEPOSIT for although we would have preferred not to have alcohol in our rooms. Our first night was very noisy with drilling and banging, seems like maintenance were working in a room close by. Other times kids running in the passage, and loud TV sets, possibly from rooms where other guests prefer to leave the room doors open ( No fault of hotel ). Meals were not reasonably priced, we preferred to walk to the mall a block away for breakfast at half the price. The Noise from the construction by the lagoon ( Beach??)

Check in was quick and simple staff were very friendly the mall was next door which is a bonus. Rooms were clean and tidy.Kids loved it all in all a great holiday

The staff was very helpful and location of the hotel was proper, five minutes walk to Abu Dhabi Mall.

The hotel is old fashion and below the expectations.

You need a book guide of the restaurants and sports activities etc that you offer

Beach is very nice. The jacuzzi is excellent. Staff at the beach are friendly

The hotel is getting old. Cleanliness is not good. Room are cleaned very late and only once in the day. Door keys do not work and you have to issues keys nearly every time you want to enter the room. Wi fi is poor. The club lounge can be entered by anyone vso I paid for the privileges of the club floor but I could have access to the lounge at a cheaper price. Complained to the duty manger but poor response and poor follow up. Not good value for money. Staff are inadequate to cater for the needs of the clients. Not recommended

So many things were annoying. The room key was not working twice although it was away from mobiles. The tv satellite does not contain major sports channel such as Aljazeera and AlKass. The lift was not working for short time. The furniture is too old and not to the standard of Le Meridien hotels !

Atmosphere

Obnoxious security and elevated cost for this weekend 28th and 29th March.
