Upgrade, beautiful view with breakfast and the large rooms. My choice to stay every time when visiting RAK.☺
The lovely lady at reception upgraded me to a suite, it was wonderful, thank you so much!!! The staff were all very friendly.
The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was good, nice assortment to choose from. The pool area was small but in a good, intimate, spa-like way. The staff were all very friendly.
The Booking.com listing highlights free wi-fi in public area but the staff on hand insisted that we make a purchase from the coffee shop to be given wi-fi password. Meh... not a big deal, but conflicting information in an otherwise really nice experience.
I didn't like any thing
poor service. Noise and dirty room and toilet.
Helpful, friendly staff No issue with parking as there is valet parking Food was tasty, good quality and reasonable price
I used Google maps to navigate to the hotel but the location on google is incorrect - it just sent me to a set of traffic lights 10min from the hotel.
Staff and room comfort
Free upgrade was very nice - staff was friendly and funny -will stay again!
would have liked free-wifi
The view from the room was nice. We were upgraded to a suite.
GPS coordinates were wrong, we ended up in a different part of the city. We drove round and round RAK for one and a half ours, the staff were not able to give directions to people new in RAK, people who don't know the landmarks. There is no sign on the building to inform that is a hotel, only the flags and a small sign in front of the building, which was not lit up therefore impossible to see at night. Room service was not functioning, although in the room menu was mentioned they were available 24/7. We had dinner in the Chinese restaurant. The waitress who came to attend to us didn't know how to use the i-pad to process our order so we had to order again. Another waitress brought us a different starter, not the one ordered, and five minutes later she came, took it in a rude manner and gave us the starter we ordered. The food was horrible, both starters and the main course, the chicken in the stir fry had a funny taste, as if it was spoiled. I got sick right after eating it. We wanted to pay by credit card, but the credit card machine wasn't working. Breakfast was poor, selection of cheap products of bad quality. The room, although was overlooking the lagoon and the mangroves, was very noisy, as it was facing the street. I will warn all my friends to stay away from this hotel and I will never go back myself.
Location; good price
All was O.K.
That we was moved to a suite
There was a smell of damp and the bedding was so cold it felt wet
The hotel was close and convienent to everything.
We had a non smoking room, but we could smell smoke coming in from the hallway and I have Asthma. There was rust around the bathtub and shower. We could not find the Qiblah direction in the room to pray. We could hear a child crying most of the night
massive bathroom and outside jacuzzi
time tookk to check out..seems to be so much paperwork...
A few examples from this experience. Booked the advertised early breakfast (and reconfirmed) for before the RAK marathon. It was not provided. Ran the marathon on empty stomach. Requested glasses from housekeeping (twice). Had to call reception to request as the housekeeping line not working. Told that we had to call housekeeping. Called housekeeping again and same error message to call reception. Message left with both the front desk and face to face with a room service employee. Nobody brought glasses so we went out instead of staying in on valentines night. Room safe did not work so had to carry valuables around. Room not very clean - funny smell - cigarette burn holes on sofa. Management policy is to block room charge money in advance from your credit card - this was a surprise about one week before staying. Surprise number two - an additional 200 was taken from my debit account on checkin to cover possible room charges. We were assured this would be refunded on checkout. On checkout we were then advised that the balance of our money which was deducted will be refunded some time within the next month. Just a matter of fact statement. Because a debit card was used not credit card. Front desk staff very poor listening and customer service skills.
Spacious rooms,good view of mangroves
Poor quality of staff both at the check in desk and restaurant
We were very happy with the upgrade to suite. Excellent.
Deserts at restaurant. The Umm Ali was not good at all.
I was there for RAK marathon, location was close tonthe start point.
Hotel photos on booking.com is photoshopped. Shower not worrking. Tv remote not working. Faul smell in corridor.
The breakfast is nice.
The location is very hard to find… event the GPS did not know it. The smell in the room is not nice. The rooms should be opened everyday so that fresh air can get in. The bath tub was not properly cleaned, there was some long time dirt. I went outside and saw a cleaning staff. I borrowed a sponge and cleaning product and cleaned it myself so I can enjoy a relaxing bath. The carpet and sofa do not look clean either but I could not do anything about it. The wifi is free only at the cafe, next to the lobby and if you order something. To be honest, as soon as we got into the room, we thought about driving back to Dubai…
The room is veru large and spacious
The surrounding area
Good atmosphere, good staff and value for money
The hotel couldn't arrange for transportation from airport to hotel.
Good breakfast,Friendly bar and 2 for 1,Chinese restaurant very good food and nice presentation. Handy location.Good gym facility.
Small swimming pool,Problem receiving live football bein sports in the Bar.Children all over the restaurant at breakfast.
Location. "Al Mallah" at the reception desk.
Good location, nearby Qawasim Corniche facing to the mangrove, it has spacious room specially the bathroom. There is supermarket next to the hotel. You can spend your evening at the corniche, there are a lot of cafe and restaurant.
Unfortunattely no free Wifii in the room.
