Metropolitan Deira Hotel  

When I checked out. Thankfully only one night stay.

Hotel staff and manager were not friendly..I Had to pay more for the room even I had confirmation letter printed with a final price. Too much noise from hotel bar. Drunked guests were shouting like holigans. Not recommended . There are other hotels in same street which are better.

I liked the pool area which was clean and well shaded if required.

I found the staff unwelcoming, unfriendly like robots, only did what was required of their job nothing else, no interaction with hotel clients. The photos of the rooms on the hotel website/Booking.com are not like the actual rooms in the hotel. Colour tones are cream,gold and honey colured wood and very basic white sheets turned into quilt covers and filthy lounge chairs in the room.

Check in and check out were the worst parts. They should specify the size of the deposit required in advance (in my case, 300 dirhams).

What I like most in Metropolitan Deira is that it is very much accessible to the city, several restaurants nearby and tourist spots. Further, the housekeeping staff was so great, so clean, courteous and polite.

First, a hotel should have good and conversant receptionist. But the hotel lady receptionist lady named “ irene” doesn’t speak good English. Second, hotel staff should not mind guests’ business as to their stay in the hotel but this lady asked personal questions which I find it not good. Third, the hotel should put young and new receptionist, since this lady receptionist might have accustomed to the hotel or perhaps she is an old staff, she does not mind about her actions/gestures. She was so lousy and impatient while interacting with guests and even over answering phone/inquiries. I suggest to replace this irene with a better one. She is not a good receptionist. Further, the hotel should have a list of the items in the mini bar/fridge. Why do the staff keeps on knocking us every day and request if they could have an inventory on the mini bar? It was so disturbing.

I booked through booking.net for two nights and when I went to pay they increase the price. The don't provide drinking water except for the first night?????????????????

the rooms were fine, i did notice that additional services such as internet, room service etc... were more costly than other hotels such as sheratons and hyatts, which was strange. the reception area are in desparate need of facelift.

I do not like the strick time of checking out.

The bar has discounted prices for the hotel residents

Demanding for the payment of seven days in advance before checking in was disrespectful.

This is the worth hotel which i had stayed in my life .

The greeting was welcoming. Didn't like the fact that this is a 4 star hotel and not even a continental breakfast was included. Hotel wanted to charge 50/dirham/ person for airport shuttle which only cost about 20dirham for a cab for both of us. Dubai being so modern yet they charged for internet 100 dirhum/day and it was a ethernet connection in the rooms wifi in the lobby. They have a friendly staff and nice rooms and in a central location , but they charge for every little thing. I would not stay here again until they learn true customer service which should include wifi and basic amenities. This is all part of good service which this particular hotel business lacks.

No complimentary shuttle service from airport. No free interet..wanted to charge 100/dirhum/day. not even a complimentary continental breakfast.
