We stayed at the Rennaissance during a stop over from Glasgow to Sydney. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I booked here at the last minute for what I thought was a good rate but discovered on arrival that the rate didn't include breakfast. With booking just a few days extra ahead we could have stayed at the Crowne Plaza Festival City for the same rate if you included the breakfast. This would have been much better value as it is a much nicer hotel (I have stayed there before), particularly the outside pool area. However the Renaissance does have a great restaurant called the Spice Island where you can eat as much as you like for a set price. I could smell cigarette smoke even though our room was non smoking |

The receiption was excellent. Hotel staff were very friendly. The Airport pick-up was comfortable and timely. When I arrived I was very will received, but when I so the room for the fisrt time I was disappointed. It more of a living room than a bedroom. The first night was sleepless night because of the room set up. |

the staff was exceptional - very prompt, professional and accommodating I did not like that that only transportation from the airport was a shuttle 1/hr - I thought there would be someone there to take me to the hotel (which was a main reason for selecting this one) but I had to pay for a cab after spending 30 minutes trying to find the hotel shuttle - |

We only stayed there to be close to the airport the next day. The restaurants are good. It is not a 5 star hotel...compared to other 5 stars in Jumeirah. Very nice lobby ,but the rooms and bathrooms and corridors are old. Probably a 4 stars. |

The bed was very soft and the pillows were just right! The room service staff were very good and efficient. Check in lady was very rude. The breakfast in the club lounge was basic to say the least. Bread rolls were hard and no fried eggs were available. Tv remote control wasnt working properly. |

Ummm almost everything, the staff were excellent n very friendly, the pool is amazing and so is the room...the bar and the spice island restuarant are amazing...i am going there next time am in dubai for sure.. The internet rate was high 40 DHS/hour + there isn't any free internet even in the lobby or the restuarant cafe |
