The Cove Rotana Resort - Ras Al Khaimah

We particularly enjoyed the beach facilities, free deckchairs and towels, easy swimming and friendly attendants. The pools were also top class, large and plenty of space. Rooms are comfortable, though not ideal for anyone who wants to do some work - bas arrangements of desk, internet, TV. Very good meditaranean restuarant and first class breakfast buffet. Would have like to stay longer.

The only positive in this property is the Food & Beverage department, in particular Basilico. Great food & great service. Shame about the remainder of the hotel! Breakfast buffet is limited with breakfast staff seriously overloaded and stressed.

This property could be fabulous, it is in an excellent location and ideal for a leisure stay. HOWEVER, service is shockingly bad. Rooms Division has some serious communication problem. Check-in was 22 minutes, check out 45 minutes, due to confused and badly trained front office staff. Concierge & bell staff are freely advising guests their challenges with buggies and vans, and the consequent delays. Switchboard (if you can get through) is unhelpful and often rude. Prior to arrival I attempted to contact the hotel to confirm my booking, it took 4 attempts before someone picked up the phone at the hotel. When I voiced my frustration, I was told "we are busy" with no apology. The room that we stayed in, had a bad drain smell throughout!

It is the ultimate place to relax from the beach to the pool.

The pool bar service for food was very slow, should have free wireless internet for a 5 star hotel

The hotel had a relaxed and chilled out feel about it. Staff were very attententive and for the UAE if was very reasonably priced and great value for money.

The villas and facilities are excellent. The client relations staff were extremely accommodating.

The staff on the beach are disinterested. The staff in the restaurants do not listen, are totally inflexible and argue and refuse to correct mistakes or problems with their bills. This happened on two separate occassions in different restaurants. The checkin & checkout process was painfully slow. I chose this resort for a special ocassion because my previous visit had been faultless.

Quitness and nicelly decorated

I stayed in a 1BR villa which had a kitchen and a 4 person dininng table but kitchen it did not have any plates/pans/spoons/forks etc or any cooking/dining related items. Also the villa was by the beach (down) and the hotel reception area/restaurants were up the hill and difficult to walk to especially if you have kid/stroller which made it an annoying task to go back and forth without calling the front desk to request a ride using the hotel golf carts. In busy hours especially check-in/check-out, I had to wait for more than half an hour for a ride from the villa to the reception area.

The car service that picks the resedentials is slow and it takes more than 10 minutes to come. before we checkout they disable the key and we couldn't enter one of our rooms, altough we call them, no one come.

i liked the atmoshperem especially during night time.It was quit harmonic and cozy.

there was a lack of co-operation with in thew staff. I made my booking through booking .com and when i got there, I've been told that my booking was not on the system. It appeared to be that the previous shift's staff did acknoledge the booking but haven't passed it to the later shift.
