Very charming and athmospheric hotel with a very helpful staff. Our rooms were superb ! We loved our stay there !

It was all really nice. The bathromm was a little small in comparison to the size of the room ... but it was certainly not an issue for us.

Authentic boutique hotel with a charm all of its own. Friendly staff went out of their way to make our stay a memorable one. Such a fantastic place when the past really comes to life. If you are love the history of our navy, this is the place for you.

    I liked everything

We loved staying in a restored georgian building (think Colonial Williamsburg) but with modern comforts -comfortable furniture, internet, a/c, a bathroom and a small kitchen. The hotel is in the middle of the national park, so you can walk around the historic sites and fort ruins and then amble back to your room. The Friday night fish festival was an unexpected treat. There is a tiny beach near the dock outside the back door. There is a fantastic beach about 15 minutes (walking) away. The staff was awesome! They are really proud of their community and worked to make us feel at home in it. Our "suite" was actually a large apartment. The bedroom is upstairs - fine for us but it would be challenging for folks with mobility issues. On one side, the windows look out on English Harbour, on the other they looked out on the walls of the old fort - which were illuminated at night.

Limited and extremely slow service in the restaurant. (We were there during the off season). Bring your own food for quick meals (breakfast and lunch) then reserve the restaurant meals for when you want a leisurely meal.

Beautiful location Large suite that looked like a film set for 18th century naval film. Clean and well maintained. Staff very friendly and could not do enough to help. Seafood friday is excellent

No restaurant and bar closes at 6pm most evenings. However walk 50 yds to the Admiral for lounge seats overlooking the water and excellent food

The staff were so helpful, honest, and friendly. They understand that we all don't have international phone service and they make all your reservations for restaurants, activities, and cabs for you. I needed small bills and they bent over backwards to find someone who could give me change. The hotel is on the water, the yachts are all around you in the harbor, and you have free access to the English Harbor museums. I recommend using M&N water taxi at the hotel waterfront to go to Galleon beach to snorkel and then hike up the hillside for lunch at Shirley's Heights. Do not miss Shirley's Heights restaurant and terrific views. Also, Paparazzi restaurant has a free water taxi that meets you at the hotel and takes you across the small channel for dinner. In sum: GO! Stay at the Copper & Lumber House. It is a lovely experience.

The wi-fi is intermittent -- very dependent on how many people are online in the hotel. This is mostly just a problem early evening before people go out. Every Friday night is a seafood dinner festival at the hotel, so it is loud until midnight. Joint the party because you will not sleep until it is over.

The hotel is fantastic. A historic building and perfectly renovated. The staff is superp. Extreme friendly and helpful. You get free access to Nelson's dockyard and the museum. We found Antigua a very expensive island, but all cheaper hotels had a worse value for money rating. We prolonged our stay and after a week of sailing returned again for a night. We also liked English Harbour the best of all the places on the island. Restaurants are in walking distance. Wifi is free and available in the rooms.

The only thing, that we didn't like was, that we had to leave, when our holiday was over...
