|Offering a private beach area, The Northshore Residence offers self-catering accommodation. There is a beautiful garden, free parking and free WiFi access in all areas.|
The resort has an intimate atmosphere. The choices of menu are amazing and well presented. Close proximity to the airport and St. Johns. Peaceful, no children, every room has a view of the beach and ocean. Tea at 4 p.m. very welcoming. Excellent value.
The hotel is as described, no nasty surprises, food and drink fine and for the price its finer. Its a secluded development with no naff entertainment and has its own beach that gets a nice breeze and has plenty of beds. The food is based around a buffet for breakfast and lunch with an a la carte menu in the evening with 3 choices. The food was fine but got a bit samey after a while so we only ate there 3 nights.
The staff were at best polite but after that were next to useless. No smiles, no energy, no extra mile service, it really made me go off this hotel massively,It really is a basic at a holiday hotel, this is not about being entertaining but to engage in conversation and ask how you are. The beach was very messy, with bottles, old tyres and driftwood littered across the beach throughout our stay, someone come down to the beach every day to tidy up but really just lent on their rake, I guess if the manager doesn't check then they wont do it. its fine for its price but don't expect to be wowed
great place to relax. very calming environment.
would have like to see more activities on site. ie. volleyball court.
Location, atmosphere, staff and value for the money.
My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at Coconut Beach. The beach was lovely, the grounds were well kept and the staff was attentive. The food was tasty and plentiful. We were appreciative that we were able to keep our room nice and cool.
It would have been helpful to have a brief orientation as to what there was to do on Antigua and the best way(s) to make arrangements for tours and how to get around.
Spanish couple in their mid 30's. Excellent value for money. The staff is fantastic and willing to help you at all time. It has a small bar where people gather in the afternoon to have drinks and to have a really interesting conversation. Most of the couples are in their late forties, but a few younger as well, mainly from the UK, a few from Italy, and less from the US. Breakfast and lunch is buffet, and dinner is a la carte served by the staff. The rooms have plenty of space, and they have a small living room, and kitchenette with a hammock and two comfortable chairs outside. We highly recommend to hired a car if you want to know the best beaches in Antigua. Cheers!!!
The only thing that we didn't like is that the beach is not one of the good ones, and that there is nothing close to the hotel (no stores, no nothing) Many people that come to this resort, is to hang out by its private pool, and its bar, and do not realise that there are so many more beautiful beaches that the one in front of the hotel. We know this because we had a rental car for the week we stayed at this hotel, and we got to know the really nice beaches that this island have to offer (we recommend to do the same to get to know the island).
Friendly staff Well prepared, variety of food Small
The pool was excellent and the staff was very accomodating. The room was large and the bed confortable. Very quiet surroundings to relax
This place would be a great writing retreat! We loved the relaxed atmosphere, proximity to the beach, fresh decor, and convenient dining as part of the all-inclusive package. The beach was quiet and the infinity pool serene. Kids would probably get bored.
The staff was very good, servers for the meals were the best, especially Bernadette
We choose this hotel because on its website it stated that every guest gets a welcome bottle of sparkling wine, we never got one, instead we were handed a small glass of juice at reception. When we inquired about it no seems to know what we were talking about, we were told they would look into it, we didn't hear back from anyone. Don't make promises that you can't keep.
The staff were so warm, friendly and inviting. The resort is small so the beach wasn't over run by people. It was great to wake to the sound of birds and the waves against the shore. Absolutely loved the direct access and view onto the beach. Nicely designed pool and bar area with adults only.
The portion sizes for dinner were small.
The beach and the bar was great! The staff was so nice and the people their were just as pleasant.
We didn't have a tv in the room or an alarm clock or iron. They didn't have any vending machine or ice machine and the bar was only open until 10am and closed by 11pm. And the included meals were not good at all so we went out for lunch and dinner.
It is so peaceful and relaxing! Not a place to party just relax! The food is amazing. We enjoyed ever meal! The staff is so friendly, inviting and helpful. You will truly love the beach on the property it is beautiful!
Mosquito's are bad so bring bug spray! My husband wishes they had a TV in the room but I didn't mind it!
Great value for price paid Friendly staff Secluded
The "all inclusive" that states Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner is just that. They're aren't any real meals in-between. Also, food selection at those meal times are Very Limited. Lunch was hamburgers.
No tv in the room, thought wifi was free
Food Drinks Position Rooms
Mosquitoes Sand flies
The beach was beautiful and empty which was nice. Some of the staff were friendly and very helpful. There was a hammock on each balcony!
The hotel looked a little run down, could use a paint job. The shower was unbearable - went from burning hot to freezing cold the entire time. Not much to do at night, but if you are an older couple you would be fine.
Very comfortable and pretty, quiet and peaceful, easily accessible beach from the room, spacious room, good food, helpful staff, good price.
I wanted to make a trip by boat but I didn't know that it was possible only on tuesday (I arrived on wednesday) and thursday, the hotel staff didn't tell me in time.
quiet and secluded beach. no solicitors.
no TV & internet in the room. mosquitos are a nuisance.
Awesome bar and view
No wifi and TV.
Very private beach. A lot of different birds and animals, wild forest. All rooms have a great sea view. Bar is very good, big choice of coctails and drinks.
Poor choice of food in the restaurant. No tv in the room, and no drinking water.
The location was good with its own private beach (I believe all beaches in Antigua are public but due to the location the beach at this resort is very secluded). The smallness of the resort adds to its charm. Okay , so the rooms are a little tired but are spotlessly clean and in no way detracted from a great holiday. I was a bit dubious about an all inclusive holiday but to be honest this didn't feel like that as dinner was a la carte and guests didn't have to wear the neon wrist straps !!!
The mosquitos - however this was no great shakes and I can't blame the resort for the wildlife.
The view was AMAZING The beach wonderful REALLY friendly staff Food excellent
The furniture in the rooms wasnt my style(the colors) and of course the bathrooms were not up to date BUT totally fine for 3 star hotel!!
This is a simple,no-frills all-inclusive which, if you're expecting this, is fabulous. The welcome was great-a refreshing towel and a rum punch. The staff are universally friendly and helpful. The food is both the highlight and the drawback. Breakfast is a fairly limited but standard range of cereal, fruit and cooked eggs, bacon etc. Lunch varied and tasty buffet which tended to run out if you got there towards the end of service. Dinner is a la carte and they have a very talented chef-great taste combinations, creative menus perfectly executed. But portions very small indeed-needs looking into for sure when a 50 kilo woman thinks this! Because of it's remote location you can't walk to a local snack place for extra food...Beach is lovely but quite exposed to the wind. Rooms dated but fine-fridge,a/c and ceiling fan, massive comfortable bed and great seafront balcony with hammock. I liked that the othere guests were chilled and open and enjoying themselves. It isn't a big noisy resort and there were no pretensious people there, just a good group of people feeling happy they'd found somewhere special.
Mosquitos-we had to spray ourselves before getting into bed for the night-not nice or healthy. A problem here from 16h every day. The isolation is great for a few days but it is hard to get anywhere off your own back-be prepared for taxis to get around or hire a car,no local transport came past.
A small, quiet and friendly resort on a lovely stretch of beach. Rooms were basic but big and always clean. Lovely clean infinity pool which hardly ever had anyone in it. Staff were all great - very friendly and could not be more helpful. Good food every night with plenty of choice. Deep Bay (another lovely beach) a 10 minute walk away. Overall a great value hotel - we wouldn't hesitate to go back.
Got bitten a lot by mosquitoes and sand flies. Take plenty of precautions! The location is quite remote so taxis to / from town etc were expensive.
