I liked the rural location, plenty of trees and a nice view over the town the location is up a steep hill, about 2 km from the center, and difficult if you have also hiked up to the castle in the same day. The bathroom was too narrow, the sink too large and the shower has a dam that blocks any water outside the curtain from draining. The rooms are dark, with only a small window. The worst part was the constant barking of dogs until 11 pm, and then the roosters crowing at 5:30 so got little sleep in a potentially quiet location.

The setting and the grounds are absolutely beautiful. It was a real pleasure to sit on the patio and look at the mountains after a day of sightseeing. The restaurant was good and the proprietor was very accommodating. Staff was friendly and they graciously provided a drive into town. The rooms are small but the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was impossible. A dam built to contain shower water did not work and deterred drainage of water which spilled over. It would be better to leave the shower in the middle of the bathroom without the dam, something which I have had in many Eastern European countries.

A perfectly English speaking female owner or manager cares very attentive to the guests and creates a warm pleasant atmosphere in which you feel very welcome. The restaurant has a good kitchen. Only suitable for motorized guests. The hotel is located just 1.5 kilometers outside the city. A walk is long, steep and exhausting.

As a solo female traveller, despite of all prejudices of traveling alone in Albania, I have enjoyed every moment staying in Berat and at Castle park. Hosts Alma and Zamo have treated me like a family, showed me around, took me to Cobo vineyards, every single moment I felt like to be a part of family rather than tourist. Its nice to feel that certain hotels like Castle Park treat you not a commercial basis, but in a very hospitable and family manner. Food is also excellent and inexpensive at Castle park restrauant, don't bother yourself searching for gourmet options, you have everything there! i am sending my best and warmest greetings and hugs to Zamo and Alma!!! Best of luck and hopefully will see you soon!!! :-))

Easy to find as well signposted. Lovely chalet style cabins. Clean and tastefully decorated. Main building and terrace has excellent views. Food was fantastic and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. A gem of a place. Stay there if you can ! Tea / Coffee making facilities in the room would have been a bonus.

The staff is very friendly. They do their utmost to make you feel comfortable. The hotel is on a hill so you have beautifull views. The restaurant is good. It is possible to arrange several outdoor activities. We did the canyoning trip and we would certainly advise it. It is fun! This is not really a bad thing but the room is very dark and you can not walk from the hotel to the city. You need a car.

Service was amazing. Was greeted with a fruit plate while I waited, provided with fresh bottled water everyday. Staff was friendly and attentive. Nice location a bit higher in the mountain, with nice view of the city from terrasse. Nie breeze in the evening. Functioning air conditioning. Manager was really friendly, drove me back to the bus station. 100% recommend this place! Location seems far when you arrive because the cars have to go really out of the way to come back on their footsteps but there's a footbridge right at the end of the hill so it's a 15 minutes walk to the city. Manager offers to pick you up at the bottom of the hill when you come back if you call her on her cell (though it a nice walk up). Up in the mountain means mosquitoes! Don't forget the repellant (I was devoured)

It's located just outside the city, but if you go there by car/ taxi that's not a problem. They have a good restaurant, friendly staff and the rooms are ok. The only 'problem' was that just one of the staff spoke english, but if you don't expect much that's not realy a problem at all. One minor point, the 'atm' didn't accept any of our cards (visa & master).

The Hotel was located on a hill over looking the town of Berat. The room was small but comfortable. There was free parking and breakfast. There was free Internet but very very poor. The owner was very friendly and spoke english. The bathroom was very small and there was no enclosed shower but a wet bathroom. The Wifi would come and go and the TV did not work. The breakfast was poor only bread, jam and a boiled egg. We went there for dinner and arrived about 15 minutes before a large group arrived not staying at the Hotel. We had ordered before hand and had to wait until the group got served first. Nobody came to us and explain that our meals would take 1 hour to make. We ended up walking out without any meals.

Nice location, friendly staff, good value. It is half way into the modern world. They were charmingly disorganized. I think we had the off season staff. Breakfast (which was included) came in dribs and drabs. It is not that they didn't want to bring us things, they just didn't all come until requested a number of times. First thing was a large pot of hot milk and then after a number of requests, coffee. Rolls and jam came but no knives...

The manager is a wonderful woman who is very pro-active in stimulating tourism in Berat and surroundings. She gives wonderful suggestions and is very helpful. She speaks decent English. The restaurant was quite good as well. For some people the location might be a bit too far from the centre of Berat (20 minutes walk) but for me it was okay (The hotel is signposted perfectly in Berat so very easy to find).
