Mare Bed & Breakfast Himara  

The staff was super. We had heard rave reviews from friends who stayed last summer and wanted to check it out ourselves. Everyone was very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. One of the owners recommended a great beach bar for us to spend time at - Via Mare - not too far away. It was exactly what we were looking for! We will definitely make this part of our backpacking itinerary next time we're in Europe! Thanks for such a great experience!

Nice small hotel with an small private beach. We had a room with seaview which was marvellous. Owners were very kind but because they only speak Albanese and Greek contact was difficult. However, if there was a problem you could always ring their son. At the beginning of our stay we got a letter with his telephone nummer and some explanations in English. We also got a map with some touristic tips. Customer friendly!

It is not that bad but the bathroom was very, very tiny (hardly space for showering), but the shower was ok if you was not the last one. If you were too late, the shower was cold. The room is basic. Not everyday clean towels.

Our hosts were marvellous, so welcoming and helpful. The rooms were spotless and the location was perfect. The view from our room was spectacular, we can't wait to go back next year!

The only negative thing I can say is that our trip was too short!

Excellent location, with a nice private beach and plenty of restaurants nearby.

With booked parking, we arrived to see a full car park with only one potential spot that may have been used after several minutes of maneuvering (and after the owner moved his own car elsewhere). Needless to say, we didn't use their paid parking and used one of the many free parking options across the street / around the corner. Wifi was very poor in our room. Neither of my two devices could even detect the network in the room. Toilet wouldn't flush as there was no water in the toilet's water tank. The shower is basically above the toilet; no curtain at all, hence, the whole tiny bathroom was wet all the time. No designated reception area. On several occasions (all at daytime), it was difficult to get hold of the owners. Plus, the owners speak very little English, making communication even more challenging. On top of that, the owners wre reluctant to return my passport before check-out. As my passport was the only id I could use in a foreign country, that was absolutely unacceptable. She only returned my passport after I paid. It would have been way more professional to request upfront payment in the first place.

The first thing that you get astonished by at this hotel is the view from the sea side rooms! Beautiful… especially at sunset! All the rest is also working very well and what’s most important of all is the kindness, the friendliness and willingness to help of the hosts for every matter we had. We won’t forget the homemade sweet that we were offered as soon as we arrived! Internet worked also well. Very helpful the touristic map of Himara that they provided us. They had prepared it just for their costumers! The location of the hotel is the best, as it is exactly on the beach. Many other beaches can be reached within 10 min. We managed also to go to the old castle of Himara which had a breathtaking view, as the settlement is built upon on a hill from where you have a very beautiful panoramic view of the whole town. The room at MARE was very clean and the breakfast very good. The breakfast area also was on a very nice position of the hotel. It had a pretty view of the sea. This is a family (well) run hotel. My husband and I would highly recommend this hotel!!

It was nice place with not so bad rooms.

We didn't have Wi-fi, because the owner never came up with its password. The lack of English was also a problem.

Miła obsługa,lokalizacja pokoju z pięknym widokiem na morze,dostęp do WiFi gratis,cisza w obiekcie,obfite śniadanie.

Hotel położony przy samym morzu.

θα γράψω στα ελληνικά γιατί δεν υπάρχει άλλη τέτοια κριτική. η χειμμάρα είναι ένας από τους τελευταίους άγνωστους προορισμούς της μεσογείου. οι πολλές παρθένες παραλίες της περιοχής είναι πραγματικά κάτι το συναρπαστικό. υπάρχουν βέβαια και οι πολυσύχναστες, όπως μας είπαν, αλλά τον μάιο που επισκευτήκαμε την περιοχή με τη γυναίκα μου, ήμασταν εντελώς μόνοι μας όπου κι αν πήγαμε. από την άλλη, το μαrε αποτελεί μια πάρα πολύ αξιοπρεπής προσπάθεια των ιδιοκτητών του. οι ιδιοκτήτες είναι μάλιστα αυτόχθονες έλληνες της περιοχής. ουσιαστικά στην χειμμάρα ένας έλληνας αισθάνεται σπίτι του. τα ελληνικά είναι η επίσημη γλώσσα των κατοίκων της περιοχής. γενικότερα, το mare είναι μια καλοκουρδισμένη οικογενειακή επιχείρηση και θα συνιστούσα σε κάθε ελλαδίτη που θέλει να επισκεφτεί την περιοχή, να το προτιμήσει.

όλα υπερείχαν των προσδοκιών μας, οπότε θεωρούμε την επίσκεψή μας στη χειμμάρα άριστη εμπειρία.

Il panorama della camera vista mare (secondo piano) è assolutamente favoloso!!!

Accesso alla spiaggia molto scomodo con gradini pericolosi

Fräscht men enkelt B & B. Läget med balkongen 6 meter från havet var totalt oslagbart. Frukosten var helt ok men kostar 5 euro extra per person. Ägarna pratar bara Albanska och Grekiska så det var inte helt lätt att kommunicera men det funkade hjälpligt. Om man vill äta i närheten kan jag varmt rekommendera rest PRINOS som ligger ca 100 meter från hotellet.

Kamer met zeezicht is prachtig. We hebben genoten van privéstrand en de goede dienstverlening van de eigenaars.

Небольшая уютная семейная гостиница. Чистые номера, есть кондиционер, холодильник, тв, вентилятор. Хозяева говорят на албанском, греческом, итальянском и английском языках. Хозяйка была очень мила и угощала вкуснейшими грушами, несколько раз на завтрак пекла ароматный кекс. При заезде в гостиницу вас угостят домашними ягодами и подарят туристическую карту, на которой отмечены интересные достопримечательности окрестных мест. Маленький уединенный собственный пляж с лежаками, зонтиками и душем. В целом очень понравилось, поехали бы туда снова. Рекомендую!

Очень тесный санузел, не сходя с одного места можно принять душ, сходить в туалет и почистить зубы. В течение недели однообразный завтрак - хлопья, сыр, колбаса, джем, мед, к тому же 5 евро на человека - по албанским меркам для такого завтрака это дороговато. В соседних ресторанах за эти деньги можно взять полноценный завтрак, каждый день разный по вашему желанию.

Schönes, einfach eingerichtetes Zimmer mit einem wunderschönen Blick aufs Meer. Kleiner Privatstrand mit kostenlosen Liegen und Sonnenschirmen. Der Potami-Strand mit kristallklarem Wasser hat für uns zu den schönsten in Südalbanien gezählt. Sehr freundliche, hilfsbereite Besitzer. Alles in allem, ein sehr erholsamer, gemütlicher Aufenthalt. Kleine Supermärkte und einige Restaurants in Gehweite.

Ambiente pulito e confortevole. Buona posizione.

Fuyez! Le parking fait 20m2, internet ne fonctionne pas. Pas d'eau chaude, et l'impression de dormir sur la bande d'arret d'urgence d'une autoroute. Vu le nom de l'etablissement j'esperais me rattrape sur le petit dejeune...mais non, une catastrophe!!! Cerise sur le gateau, au moment de payer le patron a fait une petite erreur sur le taux de change, devant mon desaccord il a justifie les 20 euros supplementaires par le parking et internet! Du vol

Très mal situé, bord de route, trop chère 60€ par nuit, mauvais standing, salle de bain de 1m carré, personnel désagréable, détention de passeport durant tout le séjour, Petit déjeuner très pauvre servi jusque à 10h :( (les vacances sont pour ce reposer et non pour ce lèver tôt le matin comme les poules) En deux mots c'est l'hôtel qui ne mérite pas un centime L'année prochaine je retourne en Albanie mais chez l'habitant

10 m od morza z własną prywatną plażą I leżakami, bez muzyki. Duże balkony. Przemili gospodarze. Mimo nieznajomości angielskiego można się jakoś dogadać (przydaje się klasyczne wykształcenie - znają grekę).

Ubogie śniadania. Drogi parking.

Zimmer mit Balkon und Meerblick - sehr schön. Die Freundlichkeit der griechischen Besitzer. Zweckmäßigkeit der Einrichtung - Klimaanlage gekoppelt mit Balkontüre etc. Der kleine private Strandanteil mit Liegen.

Parkplatz 7 € ist zu teuer und nicht unbedingt notwendig; es gibt Parkplätze in der Nähe.

Location molto tranquilla, piccola spiaggia privata, silenzio, camere adeguate. Cordialità e riservatezza dei gestori.

Lage am Meer mit eigenem kleinen Strand und kostenlosen Liegen und Sonnenschirmen; Freundlichkeit der Betreiber; Früchstück auf Terrasse direkt über dem Strand.

Kleine technische Probleme mit der WC-Spülung und dem Sat-TV, bei dem Preis aber kein Grund zur Klage.

L'hotel sorge in una posizione stupenda a pochissimi passi dal mare e gode di una piccola spiaggia privata ben attrezzata con ombrelloni e sdraio. I proprietari sono molto simpatici. La struttura e' nuova ben curata e con parcheggio ( extra pay). La vista dalle stanze lato mare e' unica. Di notte e fresco e ai può dormire con le finestre aperti cullati dal mare

L' hotel, per gli standard del paese e' costoso e il solo paesaggio non vale il prezzi pagato. Si richiederebbe una pulizia accurata e che ogni mattina venissero rifatti i letti e lavata la stanza che avendo la doccia senza box inevitabilmente si sporca. In tre giorni nessuno e' mai entrato nella stanza a pulire e a vuotate il bottino

La doccia non è isolata neanche da tendina, ogni volta si allaga tutto il bagno

Vackert, lugnt läge, balkong mot det vackra havet o stranden vid huset. Nära till billiga cafeer och inhemska restauranger. Mycket billigt attåka buss och äta på restauranger!

Direkter Zugang zum Meer über begrenztem Strandbereich.

Preis landesunüblich hoch. Zimmer und Balkon klein. Nachmittags kein Sonnenschutz auf dem Balkon (Meerseite). Duschen im Bad schwierig, da kein Duschvorhang und Bad sehr klein. Keine Flexibilität bzgl. Stornierung. Umgebung (Hotel und Stadt) ist eine Müllhalde!
