We can't say enough good things about Tradita: excellent, sincere, lovely staff, the best food we might possibly have had (ever) and a stunning building so painstakingly restored and maintained just being inside it was a treat. From arranging day trips to an evening stroll with the boss and his wife, to a magnificent room with plenty of culture and history to sink your teeth into, every detail lent itself to what was undoubtedly the best hotel and travel experience we've had. 10 out of 10, and then some.
Everything it was perfect! I will definetly come back to this hotel!
Interior design; staff attitude
Breakfast should be better. Carefully designed but not incorporated in the surrounding
Staff, location, extremely clean
poor wi-fi in room
Interesting collection of older Albanian furniture and artefacts
No menu provided in restaurant: waiter described what sounded like a single offer, but each element was charged separately. Poor quality meat, though cheese was good. Waiters try to sell very expensive wines, though cheaper alternatives and beer are available
Staff and enviroment
Very nice room. Good bed. Small bathroom, but functional and clean. Dance show of traditional music.
No tv. Huge spiderweb in a corner, close to the bed.
Hotel excellent. Wonderful house surrounded by normal Albanian building. Staff wonderful, allowed us to park motorcycles in the inner courtyard between tables. Restaurant service very good. It was a great pleasure to spend a night at this hotel.
Fantastic hotel - great accommodation and food. The owner went the extra mile to help us and got up at 4:30 in the morning to take us to the railway station. Highly recommended.
Location, staff, food and building
Wi-fi was a little off-reach and no covering for blankets
Helpful &friendly staff. Good location. Good breakfast. Heritage decor. Ample space and quiet.
Wifi need improvement.
Stayed here with my parents during a trip to Albania. Had a wonderful lunch here on way south, and then stayed here for a night on way back. The rooms were very comfortable, and it has a great location in the city. The food for both lunch and dinner was delicious.
Interesting, old-fashioned building. Best food we've had in Albanian (relatively expensive but still v cheap by UK prices). Helpful, friendly staff.
Very nice building
Toilet did not work and it had previous guests stuff floating there. I can still somehow understand that the cleaning had missed it, but when we said about it and went to the town for 3 hours walk and came back nothing had changed (incredible). Only when the owner found out they started working on it. Eventually they got rid of it and almost fixed the toilet as well. Next day the owner was very apologetic about it and gave us a discount so no hard feelings. Breakfast could have been better.
Restaurant is really good! Traditional style is nice.
Smell of smoke (because of the - otherwise nice - traditional kitchen).
staff is genly and owners too, house is as promised with a small museum inside. we had dinner outside and everithing was very good. parking avaiable in the hotel
room are too dark and not as shown in the web site. there is not air conditioned but something similar.... not so efficient.
MasterCard was not accepted although it was stipulated in the hotel description as one mode of payment. Bear in mind, that if you have to pay for the accomodation in cash you would get only 10.000 LEK per day (€ 80.00 or GBP 65.00) from the ATM (Bank)
Warm welcome and easy check-in Very comfortable beds Excellent food and wine at dinner Great breakfast, lots of lovely fig jam! Quiet and no loud piped music Lovely gardens The staffs welcome for my 2 dogs Meeting other guests in the garden Close proximity to the city centre On-site parking
Unfortunately the shower door did not prevent water spilling out to the floor and we had to put towels down to prevent slippage.
The hotel is a traditional albanian house and it contains a collection of costumes and objects. It is located close to the centre of Skhoder . Breakfast was delicious and staff are really professional, they gave us good advice on what to eat for dinner. They also organized our trip to lake Koman.
The wifi conection was weak in our room. Considering the price of the hotel, rooms should be equipped with a hairdryer and a fridge. In our trip to lake Koman, we were given a packed lunch ( that we hadn´t ordered ) and charged for it !.
Friendly, helpful staff. Traditional decoration throughout the hotel. Great food. Variety of spaces.
Everything was great.
1. Location 2.Food 3. Stuff
TV didnt work
Interior design, rooms decorated in traditional Albanian style. Delicious food and great service. Enjoy great breakfast in the garden located in the courtyard where figs coming directly from fig-tree above you. Very nice and helpful staf. If we are back in Shkodra for sure we will stay in the hotel again.
A little too hot in the rooms during summer.
The building and grounds are lovely, really atmospheric and the courtyard was a nice place to relax with a book in the afternoon. The restaurant is excellent, though I'd advise asking for the waiter's recommendation rather than trying to figure out the menu on your own. We had a great 3 course dinner with wine, sampling a whole range of Albanian cuisine, for just €30! Our room was comfortable if a little basic.
I really wanted to love this place, our 2 night stay was part of a trip around the Balkans and I'd been looking forward to Tradita based on all the reviews, but for some reason, and I'm still not sure why, ilmost of the staff seemed really cold and unfriendly to us. I don't know if it's because we turned up with backpacks and they see themselves as too good for 'backpackers', but they seemed disinterested from the moment we checked in, gave us no information e.g. when breakfast was, introduction to the town etc. It was a shame, we were nothing but friendly to them, and we are a professional couple, not rowdy gap year students, but our experience here was completely at odds with the rest of our time in this friendly, welcoming country.
the hotel was very cosy, situated in a tastefully converted old building.
the food in the restaurant and the breakfast was a bit of a disappointment
We slept in one of the historic rooms and everything was perfect, staff and manager are extremely friendly, wonderful location, amazing breakfast. Furthermore I definetely recommend to have Dinner there. They have amazing traditional albanian good! (Trust the waiter ;) )
