Friendly staff, meal, location

I found two alive cockroach in the bothroom

The hotel was in a perfect location a block away from Republic Square and was easy to find. All the taxi drivers know the name and its location. It is a highrise so is prominent on the block. The rooms are spacious and offer excellent windows and views to the mountains. As other reviewers have noted, the exterior of the hotel has that old Soviet style look to it (although a new entrance way was being constructed during my stay which might improve the outside appearance). Interiors, however, have been renovated and the rooms are clean and not too small. Very comfortable bed. Though not exactly gourmet, there were many hot and cold choices at breakfast. Desk staff competently answered my questions about taking minibuses and offered suggestions for places to dine.

I was perfectly satisfied. No complaints. Good value for the price, in my opinion.

Only it is near the republic squre

there is no Free Parking, No Balcony, No Flat-screen TV, No work Desk, No Hairdryer and Air Condition was not working. I got Cold.

The location is really good, close to many attractions in Yerevan and within walking distance. Breakfast buffet also good.

The cleaner didn't fold the bed sheet properly under the mattress, instead, it is lay as it is and when sleep on it, the bed sheet moved everywhere and the cleaner didn't vacuum the room either for our 4 days stay.

The location is fantastic, price is fair.

Some of the staff members were not nice.

Im really satisfied with everything. Its no way you can find the better deal than here--10000 for single person stay in a queen size bed room with a great breakfast (depend on you paid its super great) the room is clean, the stuff is always ready to help but their english is not that great. the location is Ok, 5mins to republic square,but actually the fun part of city is in the north though

Old soviet hotel with some renovated features.

The pillow is not soft and it is too high.

Just the location of the Hotel is great, and Wi Fi access was good for it.

The not good English speaking - very fair basic facilities in our room - noisy invoironment because of reconstruction till 6.30 Am in in some work days- *** the photos of the hotel and rooms was geat but our room was very different and small cosidering all simple duble rooms in that hotel and photos .!!!

the shirak is very centrally located, breakfast is extensive and very different from the turkish hotel breakfasts with which i am more familiar.

this is not really a negative, just an observation...the hotel is very much from the soviet era. it is interesting to see.

Good breakfast - good temper staffs - a calm atmosphere.

Seems like We booked the lower price rooms but the rooms we booked were not as nice and decent as they were shown in the Booking.com avatars and the website of the Shirak hotel pictures!

Hotel Shirak charged my credit card 3 times! And they do not bother to give any response to my reclamation... So not too happy with this hotel... :[ ... but yes, the prosess goes on...

Nice location in the center, Ararat mountain view from the room. Helpful personnel, good vreakfast, fast connection to the airport.

Elevators are very small and always full when going down - every time walked down from 6th floor.

I booked a single and got a very spacious room on the 11th floor, with amazing views over the center of Yerevan. I really enjoyed my stay there, it was the most pleasant experience from 5 hotels I stayed in the Caucasus region.

Great value and location.

Location was very good.

No water in shower A/C was not working and then the room was changed to a lower grade room. Changed my booked room with a worst one and did not reduce price No safe in the room On check-out Credit card was not accepted and I was told that the machine is not working. This was big discomfort to me becuase I had to go and get money from the credit card from the bank and had to pay 15% for cash withdrawal.
