Breakfast, I had an apartment for 5 persons instead of a single room (which i booked) and breakfast was delivered the night before. I am not even sure there are rooms there or just appartment
I suggest having kettle for tea or coffee making
Everything, particularly the familiarity and the owner was the most helpful person you can expect
The owner and his son were very friendly and helpful, taking care to inquire frequently if I had any needs. The room and furnishing were exceptional for the price.
Wi-fi was cutting out every few minutes and often required a reset of the wifi router (the owners did that right away upon request). The problem seemed to improve the last day I was there.
We felt home. We had our own little house in the backyard. The owner was extremely nice and hospitable, helping us in anyway he could. We felt very welcome.
The double room was good value for the money and clean. However, the service was bizarre and very uncomfortable.
We had a terrible experience. To start, we arrived right around 8p and no one was there. It was quite a walk so I thought maybe they had changed locations(as one recent review mentioned this). We do not have a phone with international calling so we had to walk back into town where we stopped at a lovely hotel and the concierge was nice enough to call for me (please note this is all after a 12 hour bus ride). We had arrived a bit earlier than expected (by maybe 10 minutes) so at first it seemed the current manager had simply not been there. We hired a cab (which he paid for) but when we arrived (now around 8:30p) our room was not ready. He made excuses about not receiving my reservation and that they were having problems with booking.com but this made no sense as I had exchanged multiple emails with another manager prior to my arrival. All this, and I was still ready to let this go as I figured he was simply late and flustered. However, the next morning we awoke for breakfast at the time we had established the night prior (9a) and no one was awake. We waited for an hour and still nothing. Even more bizarre, we could see into the living room and the manager on duty who had checked us in was asleep on the couch. We yelled his name and rang the bell but we're unable to stir him. He was moving so we knew he was somewhat ok but at this point we were feeling even more uncomfortable. We left money on the table for the room and simply left without breakfast as we were so uncomfortable. I do not recommend this place. It is reasonably priced but I have never had such a bizarre experience. I did send an email to the manager upon leaving and he acknowledged and apologized but no explanation.
Moved to more central location and apartment instead of b and b in suburbs.
Original location was fair from centre. Apartment washing machine, hairdryer, tv, did not work. No breakfast.
Eduardo is very friendly and helpful man. We felt like home.
A really very good value for money. Eduardo, the host, very helpful and friendly. Spotless room and bathroom.Breakfast available for early departures.Nice back yard for smoking people. 15/20min walk from downtown.
Hot shower and heating. Available cooking tools as needed. Availability of staff 24/7 and their good value suggestions.
I loved there was a washing machine so all my Antartica clothing could be washed! Very helpful and friendly. I appreciated the offer of collecting my big suitcase from the cruise storage, saving me time and money. This is a really good deal in Ushuaia. I had a rental car and there was always a spot to park. The 15 min walk to downtown is easy.
We were treated as royals.
Stayed just one night... everything fine! Eduardo, the host, is very pleasant and willing to help.
Helpful staff Lovely apartment
Wifi was not very reliable
This is a great place to stay before/after an Antarctica cruise. The host, Eduardo, is fantastic... So friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were very clean, and there was high quality linen on the bed, plus a nice down duvet. The room we were in also had excellent heating. If you stay in the room inside the main house, breakfast is included and it was one of the better breakfasts we've had in Argentina... Ie it's more than just a bread roll/croissant with dulche de leche!!! It's a bit outside of the main town area - but it's only a 10-15 minute walk which was fine for us. The internet connection was great - very fast. We liked it so much here that we came back after our cruise was over!
We were given an apartment with two bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and living room.
The car arranged by the hotel did not take us to the address listed in the booking, but to an apartment 10 blocks from the city center of which two blocks were up a steep hill. From the road we had to take our luggage down a very narrow steep two flights of stairs. There was nobody to help out at the apartment, leaving us pretty much by ourselves to fend for ourselves. Hot water was from an on-demand water heater which leaked water all over the kitchen. I had to mop out the water with a squegee several times. When I inquired about the free breakfast, the owner went to the store, got us a quart of milk, juice, some jelly, butter, bread, and a pack of tea and coffee, and told us to cook breakfast ourselves. There was no way to contact the owner if we needed him since we did not have a cell phone. I strongly advice people to not go this "hotel".
There is one room in the house and two apartments. I stayed in the room between 30/09/2013 and 06/10/2013. Both bathroom and the room were very clean. The location is a bit away from the city center, but only 10 minutes walk. The breakfast was one of the best I had in Argentina. Very good. And Eduardo, the host, did everything more pleasant, providing important tips for the choice of tours, restaurants and even wines.
