Alto Calafate Hotel  

It has the best breakfast we have ever found at a hotel in Argentina, so it is clear that it caters to foreign tourists. Nice heated pool, excellent wifi, and all the amenities.

Expensive, but worth it. Location is about 2 km outside of the town center, but they provide shuttle service.

Actually the stay in the hotel have been disappointed since the reservation have not been received from the reception, luckily there were still 2 rooms available, which after 1 1/2 hour still were not ready (22.30 hr!, is for kids really late to receive a room) and once we entered the room, one was still dirty. The hospitality in the restaurant was not very bad, initially we could not get anymore table, since it should have been full, but after some persistency we could get a table. To our surprise several tables remained empty the whole evening! Management is clearly not in control of the hotel and hospitality not as you would expect in such an overpriced hotel.

We really liked location, amenities and quality of the hotel

1. Shuttle bus could circulate to El Calafate more often, like every 15 minutes 2. Additional charge for spa and waterpool looks weird and disappointing

Patagonian houses and buildings are built for the winter. Wood & metal, dark roofs, windows with small openings, little or no ventilation. If you visit in the summer (January!), it will be hot inside any enclosed space. This hotel is no expection. Installing air conditioning or even fans would help. But this seems to be a generalized issue around there. Other restaurants and hotels even worse.

Staff were very helpful, available at all time, and very friendly! Room was very clean and comfortable with a nice view.

A bit outside of the village but the view was worth it.

La excelente calidad de atención de su personal en Conserjería y en el Restaurant, la disponibilidad de transfers ida y vuelta al centro, la amplitud y comodidad de su mobiliario en las áreas comunes y de las camas de las habitaciones. La ubicación y su vista, inmejorables.

los únicos inconvenientes de mi estadía fueron: el no funcionamiento del sauna húmedo y la ducha escocesa que presentaba desperfectos. Las habitaciones no tienen buen aroma y los baños son un poco pequeños. Me alojé con dos hijas veinteañeras y nos ubicaron en una habitación doble superior, que resultó un poco pequeña para nosotras, dado el nivel de hotel que contratamos. La piscina cubierta resulta también un poco pequeña para la cantidad de pasajeros que allí se albergan.

Buen desayuno,servicio de traslado a la ciudad, instalaciones y paisaje

El personal es muy atento y amable, las habitaciones son amplias y muy cómodas con una gran vista, el baño esta muy bien equipado. El desayuno es completísimo y se sirve desde muy temprano. El servicio a la habitación para cenar no es cara y te ofrecen los mismo platos del restaurant. Se come muy bien ahí y las viandas que te preparan para las excursiones son muy abundantes y ricas. Si bien el hotel no se encuentra en el centro la caminata de ida y vuelta es muy agradable, ademas el hotel cuenta con un servicio de transfer desde y hacia el centro cada media hora!

L'hotel a débité le plein montant de la réservatiom sur ma carte Visa le 19 janvier alors que la résevationétait pour le 8 février, ce qui m,apparaît une politique abusive , contraire à ce que Booking,com m'indiquait sur la confirmation de réservation.

El hotel bonito y linda vista. Lo que no gusto a todos los hijos es que los colchones eran incomodos y las sabanas no eran agradables y se resbalaban. Durmieron muy mal. Almohadas malas. Mucho calor en los 3 los dormitorios. Radiador no se apago nunca aun cuando lo apagamos de la manilla. El resto bien. Piscina y spa buenos. Desayuno rico y lindo salon. Bonito hotel por fuera y bien decorado.
