Bad aspect of cleannig romm

The Staff is incredible, very nice people and very friendly.

They charge extra for everything, spa, sauna, exercise room etc... But that said for the price you are paying it is still a good deal.

Breakfast should be included. Spa facilities were not working well (one jacuzzi too hot, the other not working at all, turkish bath neither). The lounge-music (guess i heard some songs at least 500 times, more variation please!)

Reminded me of a 1970s Lancia. Great design and stylish when leaving showroom but look at the state after using it a couple of years. Not everything working and looking tatty.

Location. Too far from interesting areas and taxi advisable at night. Not the best area for strolling back late.

The hotel infraestructure is very good, with a nice design and beautiful stairs. the room is very nice and has a different setting from regular hotels, couples will love it!

The pool area on the top floor with the jacuzzi is charged separately and it wasn´t before.It is 15 usd per day and the area was not very lean (specially the bathroom...ugh!) The ad on booking.com i not very clear and we believed it was all included.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The swimming pool on the fifth floor with a transparent floor was quite cool. Usually I have vertigo with such heights, however, somehow, this didn't bother me and was quite fun.

The jacuzzis, steam room and sauna were all out of order and it is supposed to be an urban spa.

staff was somehow not that friendly design and style needs a fresh-up, somewhat cheap material noise from swimming-pool bar (till 3.30 am!!!) bad isolation inside the hotel, every noise from next room is hearable

Me ha parecido muy interesante la propuesta arquitectonica, de. Menos es mas y la imnovacion de la piscina traslucida del sauna.

Lo que no me ha gustado es que pedimos el servicio que nos levantaran a las 4 am para ir al aeropuerto y NO LO HICIERON, por tal razon llegamos tarde al aeropuerto y casi nos deja el avion!! El taxi estuvo esperando abajo 40 minutos y fueron incapaces de preguntar al taxista, eso no esta nada bien

The Staff are helpfull

I have stayed in this Axel hotel about 7 times, and over the years it has been very pleasant, i choose it because on business or pleasure, I always met nice people, in a good location, it was trendy. The Axel has become very tired in the last year and needs redecoration and many fittings replaced. I do not normally fill these responses in but felt on this occasion I must! I stayed here from the 23rd Dec to the 26Th 1.The internet only worked on the first day, they blamed the heavy rain but it went off before. 2. The lifts were very intermittent, and I got stuck twice on the top floor, often you would press for the lift and NOTHING! The card reader in the elevator also, when i stayed there in May was hanning off the wall, it had been stuck back on with some glue, but it takes great skill for the reader to take your card, you can be there a few minutes before anything happens 3. it hit over 40c outside and 3 times i asked them to sort my Aircon as my room was never below 28c. they said they had no more rooms and could not move. 4. The pool area was dirty with cement missing from the tiles in the pool. and no attendant with many dirty towels left on sunbeds 5. They do not make it apparent until you arrive that the spa/gym is $15 per 24 hours! also as equipment has broke they have not bothered to replace it The manager was away for christmas , as was the deputy manager, and there was no food on Christmas day................................... I advise only paying the first night on this hotel, and if you dont like it go elsewhere, as there are plenty of other good hotels in BA...................But maybe they think they can just keep offering the gay population just anything? Shocking!

The staff were helpful and friendly

The gayness of the place gave it a very creepy feel to a heterosexual couple. From the complementary lubed condoms next to the shower gel to the swivelling spotlights on the room to the see-through shower cubicle practically in the middle of the room...it was in a word....Gay.

Unique design and very gay friendly

Needs maintenance and upkeep. Room was showing age with paint peeling and a hole in the bathroom wall.

the concept of the Axel is good, but the hotel needs to be looked after more. It used to be much better when it first opened, now it seems it has been forgotten a bit, it needs maintanence and it has to be cleaner in my view.

SPA needs to be looked after, jacuzzi was not working, same for the steam room etc.....and the place did not look clean in general. Also I recommend breakfast improves dramatically, it is very basic and on top of this not included in the rate (or at least the rate I got). Internet connection not so good also

Nothing really. Far below my expectations

The hotel looks old and not properly managed. There are construction issues everywhere, like broken floor, crack on the ceilings, mold on the walls. This lack of care is seen on the corridors, bedrooms and spa. The gym is very poor, the sauna and jacuzzi were broken. Ideally the hotel should be very nice, but in reality it is a bad choice because of all the lack of properly maintenance. Location isn't good either, far from the nicest areas in Buenos Aires as Palermo and Recoletta.

The booking.com description did not say that the Spa would cost an extra USD 15,- fee per day and that there its very loud disco music from breakfast till late midnight penetrating the room from all sides. The hotel needs urgently better maintenance

The design of the room and the hotel in general is fantastic.

The front desk personel are not showing a good organization of the administration. When you deal with them, please make sure to ask their names, because later on, you will have to say who did you speak to and when, because in between colleagues seems to have no communication. Also, when they give you a price, (massages, etc) remember they never give you the amount including taxes..so when you have to pay, it will be more.
