Baires Soho Bed & Breakfast

The location was good, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

The room was filthy, with hairs in the bathroom and on the pillowcase. The garden it looked out on was lovely, but people smoked in it constantly so to have the window open meant a room full of smoke (and mosquitos). The breakfast was paltry, but I saw another table with more food so it may be I just wasn't offered the same breakfast.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and adequate. Location is excellent and an easy walk to subte.

Messy pigeons roost on balcony outside front bedrooms. Garden area could use a facelift. Furniture in downstairs area needs pillows and to have dog odor removed. Breakfast is fine, but more variety of foods would be an improvement. Refrigerator in common area not working.

The bathroom wasn't great - each shower flooded the bathroom. I was also disappointed with the price. On the website it originally advertised for usd 76 but after emailing the hotel usd 96 was confirmed. Fine, however the hostel didn't except credit card so we had to pay in ars cash and the price was further jacked up to usd 106! This I don't understand given we paid cash and in local currency. I would not recommend this place - it wasn't professional.

Had a great stay at Baires Soho, Carla speaks very good English, and was an excellent host. She helped me plan all my sightseeing and give me maps. The location is perfect, only 10 mins walk to Metro, and only 5 mins walk to the bars and restaurants in Plaza Serrano.

Baires Soho is a wonderful B&B situated in Palermo Soho where all the restaurants, bars, and shopping. Carla was an amazing host, she was very helpful and kind. The metro is a 15 minute walk and the area is really safe to walk at night. I would definitely stay in Palermo Soho the next time I visit.

Wonderful Hosts. We arrived very early on our check-in day (10 am) and were even offered a breakfast. Location is perfect, close to all the attractions in Palermo and to public transportation (metro, bus..). Nice building and public area and very helpful and nice hosts.

Our room was a little noisy (next to street). Rooms are not as stylish as public area and could use update.

This place was great! Great location (right near shopping and restaurants), good price, and the staff were great. Carla and Nataliya were wonderful and very helpful. The building that the B&B is in is very beautiful, and they keep everything clean and comfortable.

Location was perfect very nearby the bubbling Palermo Soho

- Room very small - very dirty carpet on the floor - bathroom very small and fungus everywhere - we had a room at the front of the building. The noise of the street was terrible, it seemed as if there was not window between us and the streets.

Baires Soho Bed & Breakfast is a cool and characterful little B&B in a fantastic location in the Palermo Soho barrio of Buenos Aires. It maintains a homely feel with guests free to watch TV in the living room or relax outside in the vine-covered garden. Free Wi-Fi is an added bonus. Location is definitely Baires Soho's biggest selling point with all the attractions of Palermo within very easy walking distance.

Although the shared part of the hotel is generally very well maintained and comfortable, the garden would benefit from a clear up and my cosy room was a little too cosy. At just over 6ft tall, I dangled out of the small single bed and a lack of air con meant the ceiling fan had to run all night which was hardly whisper quiet. I was also greeted by a cockroach in my room on my arrival but in fairness the rest of the room was super clean if a bit rough around the edges. The breakfast wasn't outstanding involving little more than coffee, orange juice, toast and a croissant. As both the 'bed' and 'breakfast' parts of Baires Soho Bed & Breakfast were a little bit lacking, I certainly wouldn't describe it as good value-for-money.

Surprised by the exchange rate used when paying in pesos, 5.5 vs 4.8 at the bank; which in effect was a further 15% on top of the price in us$. Only realised this after the event so not sure if one off or policy.

Room needs modernising. It wasn't dirty but the worn bathroom suite with its cracked and chipped porcelain made it feel a bit unclean. Furnishings could also do with replacing. Breakfast was extremely basic with only coffee/tea and toast. Not really adequate for a B&B at this price.

The central location in Palermo Soho is a great advantage and offers easy access to shops and restaurants. The personel is caring and of great advice for places to visit.

The exchange rate applied to convert from one currency to the payment of the room is extravagant. You'd better pay in pesos and recommended taxi to airport Newbury would have been very expensive if we would have accepted it. It is cheaper to take one on the street (40 pesos instead of the recommended one at 70 pesos).

Since ba is very big, with different centres within one city, it depends a bit on where you want to go. For us being on the edge of Palermo Soho was perfect! Lots op cafe's restaurants and shops nearby, very friendly personel (especially to Natalia a big thank you), nice room with own bathroom. Subway is 5 blocks away. They arranged multilple transfers for us, all with the same driver, which feels nice. Would reccomend!

The room we had was very noisy (prepare to sleep with earplugs). The fact that some-one at all times has to open the front door (even when you're leaving) makes one feel secure but also slightly uncomfortable.

The hotel is small & cosy. The rooms were clean & nicely decorated. Bathrooms were a little dark & could do with updating but this did not detract from our stay. The staff were very friendly, informative & helpful.

The only slightly negative comment I would make is about the location. It is a bit too far to walk to the main areas of Buenos Aires which is huge and the nearest metro is about a 15 minue walk away.

The owners, Carla and Natalia, were an excellent source of tourist information in regards to everything from transportation to restaurants, important sites to tango shows. They spoke to us in Spanish to help us learn the language, but explained in English what we didn't understand. The breakfast was good, served in the garden or at the dining room table. We sometimes had wine and cheese on the patio at night. The b&b is close to parks, fabulous restaurants and shopping. We cannot say enough good things about Carla and Natalia. We would definitely stay at their b&b again. The price also was great.

A equipe do hotel é super atenciosa. Me senti em casa!!! Próximo ao metrô e muitas lojas e bares.

Acabo de llegar a casa después de mi viaje a Buenos Aires con una grata satisfacción. Me hospedé el día 14 de Marzo y la atención fue espectacular por el personal. Me atendió la Líder del hotel del hotel Carla (gran profesional del turismo) lo que hace que este hotel sea especial es su propietario, Carla, y su personal muy amablemente y se ocupó de aconsejarme en las reservas de excursiones, recomendarme restaurantes y actividades por la zona. El hotel está en la zona céntrica de Palermo Soho en una de las más zonas sociales y de moda de Buenos Aires. Se puede tomar fácilmente el subterráneo y varias líneas de colectivos que te trasladan a los lugares más importantes de Buenos Aires. Tiene cerca los Bosques de Palermo donde se puede pasear y con muchos lugares para visitar. El desayuno fue muy rico (las medialunas) y se puede tomar afuera mirando el jardín (donde también se puede leer , relajarte o descansar). Las habitaciones son muy cómodas. No son demasiadas habitaciones y no se escuchan ruidos de otros huéspedes. Recomiendo este lugar a los que busquen un B&B en un sector más alejado del centro, tranquilo y con varias opciones de actividades. Ella o uno de sus miembros de personal está disponible las 24 horas para ayudarnos. Si vuelvo a Buenos Aires seguro que repito hospedarme en su Hotel.
