This place has everything you are looking for after a long day trekking. Staff is great and rooms really cozy.
Breakfast can be improved.
Stunning view The look of common area
It's not possible to pay with credit card The look of room
-Very nice view of the lake. -Nice big cabanas. -Friendly staff (speaks little english though) -Good internet -Clean place. -Good price
- A bit of walk from town (takes abt 45 mins) from main street -There are some houses close by with many stray dogs and they are quite agressive so twice we had to change our route to go our cabana. -They don't have dinner service where you can start eating rightaway. Once you order it takes 1hr to have the food ready. So eat in town.
Amazing desine charming and beautiful hotel the staff was helpful but not so friendly Amazing view Nice room good size
it was far from the center and if you don't have a car you are realy in problem . I've been told that it's only half hour to walk but it's took me one hour to walk to center and the big problem is there is many dogs in the area and they are not friendly at all be carefull!!! I spent a lot of money on taxi . Beside that the hotel seems always empty . I felt like I was the only guest . Not feel good. The hotel get only cash what make you go everyatm in the city to get the moeny it was a realy problem for me
nice location overlooking the lake
Hotel does not accept credit cards or debit cards and getting money on the street from an ATM can be a bit challenging
The hotel is new and brightly decorated. The views are exceptional! Staff was excellent!! Arranged for taxis, made restaurant reservations and were very accommodating. Room was very clean and comfortable.
El Calafate is experiencing urban sprawl and lots of hotels are a bit far from town so taxis are needed if you want to get around. Walking is possible if the wind isn't whipping.
Just as the photos show on booking.com,this hotel is on the edge of the Argentina Lake with a wonderful view. The staff is very helpful and nice. The room is cosy and comfortable.
The hotel is a little far away from the central. It nearly took us 45 minutes from hotel to the central by foot. The buffet breakfast was simple.
Good food, Nice service, View by the windows
Nice location Great design Beautiful view
Restaurant closed for lunch!! Few tables for dinner. Not able to accommodate guests even for a soup after a full day tour! Poor menu..
The view, the three bedroom bungalow, nice helpful staff, wonderful dog included with room
Too far to walk to town. We took taxis. If I was doing it again I would rent a car.
Excellent service from the front desk as they spoke English and were happy to sort out any excursions, taxis, restaurant recommendations etc. Stunning views from the front door and windows.
They only accept cash. This is a problem in El Calafate as not all the ATMs recognise European cards and there is a limit of 1500 pesos on each transaction (each with its own charge). Location is excellent for views but is a 25 minute walk into town or a 50 peso taxi.
Perfect view, beautifull view on the lake, chilling atmosphere, nice personal, possibilities of excursions directly from the hostel.
Slight disappointment for the jacuzzi which was not very clean nor hot nor fully operatinal.
Everything! We used 7 different hotels during our recent trip to Argentina and this was by far our favourite. Great staff: helpful, friendly and welcoming. They gave us excellent advice on local highlights, sorted out our car rental, helped us pick a restaurant...We dined at the hotel twice and it was very good too (and the view...!). The room was spacious, clean and very light; common areas wonderful and the breakfast was great.
It is slightly out of town, but a brisk walk to the centre takes only about 20-30 min and taxis are cheap anyway.
Staff at reception were very helpful and arranged all our excursions, which were added to our bill. Able to pay in peso's which meant much better value than paying dollars.
Lobby and view from lobby Staff was really friendly Location, location, location... Nearby (5 min walk) restaurant Macchiato is fantastic!
The bungalow we stayed is was nice but could not match the atmosphere of the lobby. The property could really benefit from some more 'design touches'. Layout of bathroom not very practical and a bit small Temperature control in room
Nice little hotel with nice views and pleasing esthetic.
5-10 minute taxi ride from actual town of El Calafate which means it cost about 50 Argentinian pesos each time we wanted to come and go- quite annoying. Not conveniently located at all. On site restaurant was only open 2 nights and there was no where else to eat so if you think you can just nestle down in a semi-secluded place like this, you really can't. Also their website states they offer bike hire but there was no such thing when we arrived. English speaking reception is only true half the time- only during the day.
The panoramic view from our cottage and the breakfastroom has been tremendous.Every staffmember tried do make our stay as comfortable as possible. The reception was mainly lead by family members, even the restaurant had a cosy and warm atmosphere and wasn't pricy. We enjoyed our stay in this Hotel with its wooden furniture.
Isn't really close to the city centre. But the area is secure to walk through if you don't mind a 30.Min walk.Otherwise a taxi isn't to expensive
While we were traveling our daughter got sick. The Blanca Patagonia staff were marvelous, found us a doctor, and helped us with all our needs (including those in the middle of the night). The hotel is beautiful, the view is lovely, the food is delicious. We had a car, so even the location outside of town was perfect for us.
distance to the city center
I loved this place! The view is wonderful, and the suite is a dream. Very romantic, very beautiful. Definitely I would recommend! The staff super friendly!
Everything was OK!
Awesome view, Fantastic rooms and comfort
This was one of my favorite hotels I've ever stayed in, and I travel quite often. The only negative I found is that it's a little far from the city center and you'll have to take a cab; however, the cab will cost you $5 at the most, and you get to have one of the best views in El Calafate, so that was a no-brainer. Wonderful staff - all 3 guys at the reception spoke perfect English and were very professional. Rooms were clean and cozy, we had jacuzzi-type bathtubs, and all this coupled with the perfect weather for our trips made up for an amazing vacation. Would love to go back one day!
Beautiful hotel with a beautiful view and window over the lake. Very kind staff. If was great!
The only minus is the distance from the center of the city.
Great location. Great view on lake. Excellent staff, very helpfull.
