The Bonito is in a quiet location, a beautiful art deco building and very tastefully furnished. Barbara was the most helpful with all our questions and gave us excellent advise on the area. We will stay there again on our way back through BA!
The standard room was extremely small and one single bed was up on a makshift loft and the downstairs. WE upgraded to the double room and it was still poor. The furnishings were almos useless, one sling chair and one arm chair. There is an attendant there only from 8:30 am- 5:00 pm so if you need directions or help any other time forget it. Our bus arrved at 6:00 and they would not come and open the door so we could drop off our luggage until 8:30.
We only stayed for one night but the staff member who dealt with us was amazing. She gave us two great recommendations for restaurants just down the road (very local and non-touristy) and she organised for us to change money, all of which contributed to a very easy and convenient stay.
Yanina was very generous to carry and hold my bag for me.
booking.com did not make additional fees clear-
Great Staff in particular Barbrara, who we talked the most. Beautiful Architecture.Old Building with and old and elegant elevator. Excellent Breakfast with lovely music. Wifi available. Our room was always cleaned and secure. Staff always available to help and give informations.
Room photos on the website, little bit outdated. (no major problem).
Service was friendly helped up to sort out our situation with booking tango pick up early breakfast late check out Amazing and place is lovely a parisian touch
design and decoration of place and room is fascinated. staff were very helpful.
some facilities such as sink and bathtub are not in a new condition
The rooms are pretty spacious. The location is quite good as well, walking distance to San telmo, metro station, microcentre... Safe building. The breakfast is fresh.
The pictures advertising the rooms doesn't really reflects the reality,I.e decoration needs refurbishment, bathroom damaged etc... I would consider it more as a bed and breakfast rather than a boutique hotel, as there is no 24h reception, no water or iron in the room... And a lack of professionalism of the staff, friendly but not really efficient.
Very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast with fresh fruits
Reception is not manned 24x7, so when something goes wrong (e.g the hotel arranged airport transfer doesn't arrive at 3am) no-one around to help
Staff are friendly and excellent, there is a family feel to the hotel Breakfasts are good
Having to pay in cash rather than credit card It's a long walk to the central areas
lots of room, good breakfast, unique room, friendly staff, location is not in the main tourist zone so feels authentically Argentinian with authentic restaurants nearby
street noise in the room might be a problem for some people, also the location is a bit run down but these things didn't bother us as it made the place feel more authentic
Great location, friendly staff, amazing breakfasts (especially the fresh orange juice and pastries). Good wifi connection.
Charming, 5 rooms hotel with characterful design and a bohemian touch. Not a luxury hotel, but more like a relaxed place/ apartment with friendly staff. Old beautiful building. Located in the barrio with truly local feel.
Old building - challengies with electricity?
Excellent place to stay. Delicious and abundant breakfast, the building, location, personnel, everything. It's like staying in a friends home, very good place.
The beds could be a little more comfy.
5 individual rooms, very nice place and personal.
Friendly service Very good breakfast
A unique experience. The hotel has only five rooms, each truly one of a kind, occupying the third floor of a classic Buenos Aires building, with cage elevator, big windows, 17-foot ceilings, and turn-of-the-century feel. The management crew is great. Helpful, friendly, genuinely eager to see their guests have the best time possible and take advantage of the city. Great breakfast, too. The breakfast room/sitting room is the first we've found in a boutique hotel that's a comfortable, relaxed place to sit and work, read, use a computer, have a cup of coffee. Feels more like a salon in a family house.
Noise from the buses that pass (but they're not frequent); need of key to go out as well as come in, but with one key for two people; not always convenient.
The breakfast is very good!
I did not like the location and cleanliness.
