Romantic Heaven of Tranquility and simplicity.
Fantastic setting, both as to the property as to the room/suite itself Friendliness of all the staff, with no exception! Incredible quality of the restaurant (would definitely deserve at least one star in France or Italy)
The welcome drink, pool
A pretentious hotel that is trying to be 5* (and charge for it) but fails to get he basics right; examples: room decor - very tired: broken taps, cracked shower screen... Towels in room - holes in them restaurant - overly fussy details that spoil otherwise decent grub breakfast - the way it's presented sums up the hotel
Staff was incredibly helpful.
The setting and atmosphere is great. Very good dinner.
Coffee at breakfast can be better
Friendly hosts, excellent (served) breakfast, beautiful lay-out of the whole place, nice swimming pool, nice garden with tropical plants and hammocks - an ideal place to relax.
Environnement is nice Staff is trying hard (maybe too hard)
The room is old, ugly, very humid. Poor standard for what it costs. So a at the end of the day you overpay despite the nice swimming pool. Go for a more modern hotel and closer to the falls.
the atmosphere n the decorations.
cannot enjoy the pool
I booked here as had read about the restaurant. We ate here both nights and were extremely happy with food and service. Even if you don't stay here it would be worth coming for dinner! The hotel was comfortable and staff very helpful with excellent English spoken by all at reception. Good breakfast was included and wifi. 20 minute drive to falls which were stunning. Driver organised for us at reception.
No fault of the hotel but the continuous barking of dogs throughout the night was dreadful.we had a room on the road so maybe worse than internal rooms. Hint for the falls - maybe book ahead for a time if you want to do the long boat trip. We didn't and only had choice of 9am or 4 pm so took early one. Problem was no shop opened to buy a poncho before getting onto the vehicle. Therefore we got very wet!
The staff was very friendly, very helpful with hotel operations, directions to the falls. The hotel has lovely grounds, enjoyed sitting outside and the restaurant was excellent (though expensive).
Hot tub temperature was not "hot" enough. Would have enjoyed after rainy day at the falls.
Great staff with dinner, high standard off service
STUFF!!!! couldn't ask for more. we upgraded our room and it was worth every penny. The Room was very spacious, luxurious and very nicely decorated
We had some problems with the WiFi, but the Stuff and the manager, did everything that they could to solved it Immediately.
Engaging staff, pleasant setup, enjoyable stay
The staff could not have been more helpful both for in-hotel questions and getting around town. It's a little out of the way but easy walking distance for us to centro.
Dogs barking at night is unavoidable everywhere so not a knock on just this hotel.
Excellent food. Probably the best you can get in Iguazu
I found it a very satisfying hotel experience. Warm welcome, very helpful and alert staff, everything in the room was good, the restaurant is on its way to gaining a high reputation, if it doesn't already have one. The food (Italian) was imaginative and very well presented.
I would have preferred less noise from barking dogs through the night
The pool and the whole atmosphere of the place. The staff were really friendly and helpful. It was the far side of the town so easy walk to where the 3 rivers met. Lovely lovey place. And then there was the resturaunt - a 5 star chef in the middle of the rain forest what a treat!!!!
Room was clean and I received a welcome glass of sparkling wine on arrival. The staff were very helpful and explained In detail Iguazu falls and helped me plan when to do the Argentina vs Brasil side of the falls. They organised a taxi for me so I could travel over the broader to Brasil so I could take a helicopter ride and then visit Iguazu Foz. Overall I was very impressed with their assistance which allowed me to relax and have a stress free stay couple of days in Puerto Iguazu.
Only negative, wifi very slow to access in rooms.
We liked the ambiance of the place pretty much and how the interior and The exterior and the interior of the place were done with a taste. The hammock in the garden, the fountains, several lodges and hotels own Italian restoration make this a unique and proper boutique hotel. The town itself, as well, I would wholeheartedly recommend.
The only drawback the hotel has is the quantity of food for breakfast. As it is a most important meal of the day, it was a really poor selection, as it is not a buffet.
extremely helpful and kind staff, breakfast, gourmet restaurant.
The hotel is very charming and atmospheric. The rooms are in litte houses, lovely furnishing, each has a pleasant outside area (some with hammocks). The staff is very nice, but not generally around. I was impressed that they organised a very smooth pick up from the Brazil side of the falls and also made all arrangements for going to the falls, and to the airport, without any hassle. The welcome drink was very nice. The pool area is well-maintained, and it felt really intimate and quiet. The wine list was really nice as well.
As mentioned, there are some things that they could improve: wifi is patchy, there are no safes in the room (although advertised on the website, only at reception); the restaurant was closed when we were there, and the recommended restaurant in town was closed too. It is not as close to the centre as advertised: we were fine to walk it, but I would imagine some might not feel safe (it is about 20 minutes, and it gets quite dark). There are also dogs barking through the night (you can really hear them!) and the rooms are quite dark.
Staff was awesome!
Showers needed improvement
We were so impressed with superb restaurant that we had not expected. The hotel is very unassuming from the outside but once through the entrance it is classy .
A very nice place to stay when visiting Iguazu: great location (walking distance to the city and just around the corner, the bus stop for Iguazu Falls) and very charming hotel. Staff and owner are just great, very helpful and friendly. Also, I would strongly recommend having a dinner at the restaurant, very good cuisine ! Loved it !
Amazing staff who are extremely welcoming and are willing to help with everything. Great optional services and the food at the restaurant was superb! Thoroughly enjoyed our time at Boutique Hotel De La Fonte :)
