Super friendly owner, she stowed out luggage for free for a few days even though we only stayed there one night and we didn't know if we would stay more. Room is small, but clean and beds are fine.
Shower is in the same small room as the toilet.
I liked the location very much and the people from the hotel were very nice and friendly. For one night it was perfectly fine.
the people from the hotel did not speak english, which would have helped. Also there were no towels in the hotel room. And the bathroom was very poorly constructed (the shower hit the toilet) and it smelled a little bit like old blankets in the room.
- The location - Very quiet and clean
- The staff is not at the office so it can be difficult to reach them sometimes - Shower falls on the toilet (in our room with private bathroom)
Friendly staff, great location
Wifi and location
Very noisy rooms, no sleep. The pressure of the water was minimal, and you either get real hot, or real cold showers. Nothing in between
Staff don't speak any English Bathroom is not fit for showering and rooms are very cold!
very simple but ok, central and very cheap
staff, very helpfull big room price, good value for money place safety
Its cheap and close to the center, bus to the airport just 4 blocks away
Cold at night
Great location, atmospheric traditional old building, staff very sweet and smiling, plenty eating/drinking options all around the hotel
No English spoken so was hard to ask any questions, could be a little noisy as area quite lively, but BA as a whole is a fairly noisy city anyway!
The location is good.
Nothing in the kitchen, it's just empty room.
The wifi didn't work for the first 3 days but then on the last night it worked. We just used the cafés for Internet..
It's a great place to stay if you're looking for a cheap place to stay in a great neighbourhood in Buenos Aires. A very friendly lady, clean but very basic accomodation.
-large rooms with high ceilings -very central
-internet didnt work -you dont feel any personal treatment
Location is great. Bed was comfortable
The wifi wasn't working when we stayed. Although the manager tried to help us with any questions she didn't speak a word of English. Kitchen is very limited. Overall it was cheap so can't complain
The receptionist was very nice and helpful- we had to leave at 3am and she organized a taxi to the airport. The location and price were very good
The room didnt have a window, the door was facing a reception hall so it was very loud -you could hear every person getting in and out and the light from the hall was getting through the door all night
Its an ok location but be vigilant as always when travelling in the parts of the world. Staff do not speak any language other than Spanish....so be prepared for some frustrating conversations...but ultimately i found all the staff very friendly. The premises aren't for the faint heart ed, the place is good for the price.
Right at the Plaza in San Telmo, nothing beats the price. Great value for money
If you like places like San Telmo itself - artistic and bohemian, I would definitely recommend this place! It's simply old, the facilities are old, you can feel it in all aspects of what we describe as comfort, but it has some irrestistible charm and amazing localisation.
I didn't really mind anything, but here are somethings that might be important for other travellers: - Staff don't speak English (but wants to communicate) - Sometimes there was no hot water - The smell in room - somehow strange, but as I mentioned, it's all quite old, no big deal
Quiet and tidy, spacious rooms.
Lack of equippment in the kitchen,
the showers were open to the rest of the bathroom, and the drain was in the middle of the floor...I didn't shower there. It seemed unsanitary. It was noisy
Plain authentic hotel. Unbeatable price, 50% less than a hostel on the same street. Cleaner than a hostel on the same street.
Lack of community. Hotelier can be awkwardly stubborn.
Nothing excepte location
Everything of this hotel
The location is good. In the middle of San Telmo, and right next to a plaza, which makes you feel safe walking around at night. The rooms, facilities etc are very basic, but we only spent 7USD for a double private room so you can't expect much for that. It was the cheapest place we found in BA, and as we were only staying one night, it suited our needs. Wouldn't want to stay much longer though.
The bathrooms were pretty horrible. The showers are right over the toilets and as lots of people used them, it felt like you were showering in a public toilet. The room we stayed in also had no windows. As BA is really hot, we felt like we were sleeping in an oven - didn't sleep very well as a result. We asked for a fan, and got one, but it didn't make a huge difference. The kitchen was also terrible, there were no cooking implements at all, not even a pan. All in all, it's ok if you're only staying one night and want to spend as little as possible, but we wouldn't stay any more than that.
