excellent b&b style accommodations. great value. would very happily stay there again. nice breakfasts too, something not all that common in Argentina
Beautiful, tastefully decorated home with a lovely garden! A pleasure to stay in, an oasis of calm! Wish we could have stayed longer. Silke was very kind & helpful with all our requests. Highly recommended!
It would have been nice to get a stronger cup of coffee with breakfast!
The owners were very helpful. Even from the first email correspondence when they offered to arrange a rental car for us. They recommended restaurants, the best museum and the best route to Purmamarca. Great homebaked pastry for breakfast served on lovely silver and china. Great water pressure in shower.
The pillows were too thin and lumpy. Plus I could have used more for sitting in bed (however I never asked for that so I might have gotten them). No AC but there was a fan.
Everything was perfect
Excellent in all regards
Carpe Diem is an outstanding place to stay, home from home. the owners and staff are exceptional friendly and hospitable, we stayed for five days and would have stayed longer if time permitted. It is a great location close to the main square but quiet and peaceful once inside. thanks to R and C and the staff
We came back to Salta and definitively stayed at Carpe Diem again. Elegant, discrete, spacious rooms with lovely furniture and delicious homemade breakfast.
We were very happy to be in Carpe Diem. Felt like home in Salta. Very delicate and attentive hosts. Delicious breakfast with home made cakes and breads, served in a very elegant way. Worth staying!
Truly a home away from home. The owners have made an incredible atmosphere by the way they take care of their guests and the way the house is furnished for respite.
I couldn't stay longer due to my travel schedule. I hope to come back.
Amazing hosts- friendly and very helpful. Beautiful location, great breakfast!
Host and family
Too many cats
This is a charming inword-looking classic Salta home, with long hallway (similar to a shotgun home in gun-lov'n Texas), an atrium, and a large back garden. Period piece furniture and decor complete the picture. I rented a room with a bath. The garden is large, esp given it is but blocks from the central square. Breakfast features breads, meats, cheese, and good coffee. The house is spacious and comfortable with several public areas for sitting while you blog on your phone. Silke and Riccardoare are gracious hosts. He is Italian and she German, so they have many languages under their belts.
A lovely B&B, with personal service from the owner. Great location.
It is a cozy home facing an inner courtyard, so if you are looking for views, or a lot of light, this is not for you. BUT, it is such a great place - quiet and cozy, you will not miss having a view. We loved it!
Beautiful B&B in a great location, excellent and very accommodating staff, delicious homemade breakfast, lovely bedrooms and communal facilities.
Hospitality and position.
+ conveniently located in the city center + nice and clean building + exellent breakfast with fresh orange juice + helpful owners
- room #2 is a small room with a loud fan and no a/c and it heats up easily. If you open the windows at night mosquitos come into the room. - A lot of cats in the garden and two in the house, the cushions in the living room smelled like cat piss
The B&B was very charming, the staff was super-friendly and helpful and the breakfast was the most excellent we had on our entire South America trip (homemade cake, bread, fresh fruit and more... yummie!). We actually fehlt sorry, we did. not have time to stay any longer :-)
The house is very beautiful and very quiet even though it is practically in the middle of Salta. The breakfast is one of the best we had so far in Argentina. The hosts are very lovely and helpful.
The ceiling fan was very loud and due to many mosquitoes it was impossible to sleep with open windows. Which means that i got very hot in the room because neither using the fan nor opening the window was an option.
Very happy with owners, location, staff, and facilities. Charming B&B.
Fantastic hotel, made to feel at home from the instance we arrived. Gorgeous hotel, little oasis in the middle of Salta. Silke was a great host and helped with everything we needed, especially in her advice on which trips and excursions to do. Would very much recommend anyone to stay here.
We were not provided a key to the front door and needed to ring for access. There was always someone to open the door, but felt a little like we were imposing when coming in late at night.
Helpful and gracious host; very nice design; great breakfast; central location
The hotel was in a good location. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The decor was beautiful.excellent showers with good pressure! Very comfortable hotel. Nice breakfast.
Carpe Die, is a gem, Silke & Riccardo are wonderful hosts, you are welcomed and made to feel at home. The facilities are excellent and breakfast great with Silke's home made bread and cakes., when you are leaving late as we were being able to use the facilities on the last day was a real plus.
