Excellent location Quiet and clean delicious breakfast ADORED the host Very cute dog Accomodating! Arrived at 2 am and the host offered to book a last minute bicyle bineyard tour for the following day. Wifi was so-so but the stay was so excellent that it did not matter. We loved it and would stay again in a heart beat!
Marcelo is a great host and does everything possible to facilitate your time in Mendoza. The place serves as a great base to experience the city- especially enjoyed the courtyard in the morning. I look forward to returning here again.
A fantastic location, right on the busiest street for food and nightlife. Marcelo the owner is fantastic - so friendly and will happily help you choose activities in and around the city and make suggestions for good places to eat.
The wifi didn't really work for the first day but it seemed to sort itself out.
The hosts were really lovely..they treated you like family..really warm and genuine people.I stayed in the apt next door, it was very comfortable .The location is brilliant too..right on a main street but set back so it is really quiet as well.Security was very good too.The highlight was def the host..he went out of his way to get me a booking at a very good local restaurant and ..lovely family.
The owner was so kind and helpful it really made our stay in Mendoza. One night we wanted to eat in he lent us plates and cutlery and went to get us a flask of hot water. Excursions organised through him were great and enabled us to see so much in the few days we had.
Marcelo and Pamela are great hosts and really care about how your time is in Mendoza. Your actual room depends on which house, but they are flexible about your needs (mine were quiet, internet, a kitchen, and windows-- all well met!). Facturas y fruta on your doorstep (or table) each morning is a warm greeting to the day.
Fri and Sat nights get noisy from the clubs until 3am, but to be expected with all the cool bars and restaurants around!!
Marcelo and Pamela, the owners, are very nice! The B&B is located in a nice street, close to the Park! The bed is very comfortable and the room where we take the breakfast is very cosy! We liked it!
Owner Marcello was amazing and very accommodating! The place it's self was clean and warm. He also had a dog which can perform amazing tricks. Would highly recommend
Everything. Marcelo is a lovely man, and he and his family will go to great lengths to make sure you have a good stay here. From start to finish, Marcelo couldn't have done more to make sure we were happy and comfortable, offering advice on trips, wineries, car hire, bike hire, restaurants, cafés, walks and anything else in the area. Don't expect luxury here, but do expect a very homely, warm and friendly environment in an excellent location. The house is on the city's main strip of cafés and restaurants which is very convenient, but is set back from the road so there are no worries with noise. Marcelo also has a very friendly Labrador dog called Havannah who will perform tricks for you and is nice for any travelling dog lovers who miss their canine friends. Marcelo is also a talented musician, and performed for us on the last night of our stay, providing us too with champagne and chocolates to help us celebrate our honeymoon. This is not a 5* hotel but it is definitely up there with the nicest places we have ever stayed. It is like staying with good friends and we were genuinely sad to leave.
Nothing at all, I can't recommend this place highly enough. 10/10.
charming place, great breakfast, good location, perfect tips for places to go and to see - especially vineries around
Top location, next to many bars & restaurants. Walking distance to the touristy Plazas & the park. Great hosts; very welcoming, helpful and always there when needed.
We had the "basement" -room, and while it was fine to be with limited daylight, you have next to no privacy, as the entrance is in the living room, also the stair downstairs is not the most convenient. But if you don't mind it's good value for money, clean and cosy.
Marcelo and Pamela are marvelious hosts and they help arrange all activities you wish in Mendoza and around. You are actually staying in their home so you are treated as a part of the family. The breakfast is very good for Argentinian standards. And the location in the city is perfect!
the room down could have been a bit cleaner... but that's just a minor thing..
Cosy house with a quiet back garden to relax in. Great location between the park and the city centre. The host was excellent and provided help when we needed it.
It would have been nice to use the kitchen, however there are so many good places to eat in the area it wasn't an issue.
We had our room in the old wine cellar. Very cozy beds! And you feel, like you stay in your own house. It is very quiet. And the breakfast is huge! Fruits, fresh juice, different sorts of bread, marmelades... Marcello is very nice guy and will help you organize trips around an in Mendoza.
Everything. - Best place in town!!
Top location (very quite, not far from restaurants and bars), good breakfast, the owner was very friendly and helpfull, room was clean,
shared bathroom was too small and basic, The house is not so easy to find (it is located in a backyard. I was missing a sign at the street).
friendly guy running this accomodation. very good breakfast.
this is NOT a hotel -- this is a private appartement. The cheaper of the two rooms is in the basement without any window; you need to climb down a steep ladder. The "skylight" is not a window -- it's a hole in the floor of the living room. This room gives you a Hannibal Lecter-feeling. You don't get a key to lock your room. You have to trust him; but at least it was trustworthy, though. WiFi available, but signal too weak. No sign, no name, no doorbell at the entrance.
Our homestay at Casa Aristides was very nice. We had the house to ourselves and enjoyed having the garden and living room to our disposal. The breakfast was fantastic, by far the best breakfast I have had in Argentina with fresh fruit, homemade jam and different types of bread. The patrons Marcello and Pamela were very nice, gave us good tips and made reservations for a great excursion. The basement room were we stayed was clean, nice and cool, even without aircon in mid-summer.
Nothing. Just don't expect a 5-star hotel and you will have a great stay in a top location. Also, if you book the basement room you should be prepared for climbing steep steps. If you are not in good shape, this room is not for you. Then the room upstairs is much more suitable.
The host was excellent, very helpful and informative. The location is probably the best in Mendoza city.
Comfortable surroundings. We had the main bedroom and accompanying 'wine cellar' room. This combination was self-contained and opened up onto the back garden - a great set up for a family. Warm and friendly hosts who went out of their way to make sure we took advantage of our time in Mendoza. Marcelo helped us arrange rafting and pointed out good restaurants that were close by. The neighbourhood is excellent - lots to do and 10 minute walk to centre. Lovely breakfasts!
Excellent staff, quiet garden, great location, good breakfast, quiet accommodation, air-con
No key for room, small bathroom, no kitchen, frustrating WiFi in communal area and bedroom
Casa Aristides is very well located: within a walking distance to the main attractions and in a very pleasant area of Mendoza. Moreover, some good restaurants and bars are on that street as well. The hosts are extremely welcoming and very nice. They made my stay really unforgettable. They were extremely helpful, organised the excursions and gave advice on things to do and see. Thank you very much, Marcelo and Pamela!
