Helpful staff, nice garden, inspiring tango lessons
Loved the staff: Gabriel and Carolina are very friendly and can give you a lot of tips regarding the city. You really feel at home - there is even a very friendly cat. The rooms are nice, you have private bathroom but the room we had to go outside (I did not mind). The breakfast is good, Carolina even makes fresh juice. The little garden is lovely, there is also a nice living room and balcony. If you want you can use the kitchen, there is a supermarket right in front of the hotel. You have free tango lessons every day :) It is in a quiet and nicearea in Palermo, if you walk a bit you have many restaurans and bar, it is close to the metro station which will take you to the city centre
Checkout is at 10am which is too early for me. Nothing else
tango lesson, courtyard and balcony.
Street noise all night, small room, small shower.
Fantastic stay. Like a home from home. Very friendly staff, decent breakfast and very very comfy beds. The setting is idyllic.
This place is adorable. We were given a room with the bathroom attached, even though we only paid for a separate bathroom so our opinion may be a bit biased. Very clean and comfortable.
The location is not the best if you want to be in hustle of the city. Very easy subway access, but a bit of a walk in to Palermo Soho restaurants and you'd want to cab after dark.
My room was located on the ground floor right beside the front door, so it was extremely noisy.
Its a charming place in that we got to see a typical buenos aires apartment/residence.
I booked this place because they advertised free tango lessons EVERY night. And find out that for the day we arrived, the lessons were in the afternoon. The breakfast was poor and very slow considering we had a schedule to keep. The keys were the old style kind of keys (think 18th century) and for someone not familiar with these keys, it took an eternity to open and close the doors.
Very friendly staff couldn't be more helpful. Room was great, faded chic. Fabulous, quiet outdoor garden, very peaceful. Super breakfast served. Helpful information about buenos aires, 5mins walk to Olleros subway and easy access to the downtown. Tango dancing lessons available. All good. Stay here if you want somewhere peaceful and relaxing.
The Hostel is located in a quiet place. Has a nice garden and is close to underground, restuarants and supermarket. If one is interested in Tango then in the hostel are free classes as well.
The hostel was very clean and orgenized, there was a safe in the room and the treatment from the staff was very kind.
The hostel was very far from the center of the city and we had to take the metro so that wasen't so bad, the station is close. I would not recommend taking the transport service from the hostel because of the cost of 60$ USD which is very very high, when we left the hostel we took the same service for 25$ USD. We were also asked to pay cash in USD which made the cost very expensive because of the black market rate.
LOVED the staff. I liked that the owner greeted me and gave me a tour. I liked the "family" and "community" atmosphere. While I didn't attend, I like that they had tango lessons.
This specific room had no air conditioning. While it did have a ceiling fan, it was very noisy. Additionally, the window faced the street. It was extremely hot that week and I had to keep the window open to get some air. The loud ceiling fan and noise from the outside traffic made it difficult to sleep. Next time I will get a room with air conditioning facing the courtyard.
Ambiance conducive to making good friends and enjoying company at dinner etc, dance studio with excellent teachers, very helpful and friendly staff.
It was so nice I stayed for the whole three weeks of my vacation!
Cute place, lovely patio, very helpfull stuff
The place is amazing with fantastic stuff, Is kind of familial hotel super clean and locate in very safe area.
None that I can think of
Great staff and really friendly!
Very little! Poco!
Big scam! They don't accept Credit Cards so be careful. If you pay with dollars they will accept them at the official exchange rate which is 40% bellow what they will get for the dollars you give them. Most hotels will accept the dollar bills for 8 to 9 pesos rather than 5.97 which is what they would take mine for. There was no soap in my room. I got changed from one room to another. The wooden floor was broken in several spots. You could very easily twist your ancle if you are not careful. Not sure why they received such a high rating. They probably have friend sending in positive feedback cause there is no way this hotel could be considered anything above average. It is a big "STAY AWAY" for me.
location in city with good restaurants close by. easy access to underground trains. Having garden area to relax in.
Do not sleep in rooms at front. Extremely noisy. Ask for garden facing rooms.
-clean room and comfortable bed -patio with tables to read and work on -kind staff
-provate bathrooms outside the room, even though they were close, clean and in the end not much of a problem
