The hotel was very well located, however the bathroom was unbelievably small as was the first room we were offered but as we were staying almost a week they did move us to a slightly larger bedroom. |

Friendly staff, good location, very clean, and reasonably priced. The single beds are a bit too small and not very comfortable--albeit very clean and perhaps what is considered standard size for a single bed. |

The Castelar is not a four star hotel but a (quite expensive) two star hotel, however in BAires all hotels are overrated... |

The lobby and location was nice The room was like a little box, bed uncomfortable, electricity kept going off in the room so no a/c, lights etc. during the day and nights. |

Very few staff spoke english despite being in the centre of the tourist district in BA. When my friend was ill, on 2 occasions it took them over an hour to get medical attention to the hotel. |

Very nice breakfast included with the price of the hotel, very friendly staff, very convenient luggage storage. The heat was on and it was almost unbearable. There were no windows to open except for one 8" by 12" window in the bathroom, and this seemed a safety risk as well as a ventilation problem. I was traveling with my 5 y/o and asked for help with baggage. The staff was willing, but one staff helped from room to lobby, another from lobby to curb, both expected tips. Tiny single beds. |

Rooms based on the rack price are overpriced. We stayed the week before at the Presidente and paid the same rack price on a walk-in. This hotel was far superior to the Castelar. Also, you need to inform customers that every night there are demonstrations on the street directly across from the entrance due to its proximity to a union building. This is not a good choice for weary travellers. |

Good breakfast, good staff, willing to answer questions about directions and such, always helpful to help getting taxis. Room in itself looked better on the website than on real life. Hotel is a bit old and it shows a little in the accommodation, specially in the bathroom. They are working on it though, entrance and hallways look very sharp. |

The spa was OK though pitty that there is now swimming pool. It is certainly not a 4* hotel at least not the room I was in. However, in view of the price (90 $) i was not expecting a lot more. |
