Good location and great free buffet breakfast. Small balcony from my room, and a nice bathroom, very clean rooms. Very good food at the restaurant as well. I had great experiences with 3 staff members, and the rest of the staff at reception was basically snotty and unhelpful. Spa services are not included in the room rate, and the weekend hours were almost useless for my stay. I also was woken up around 8:00 by staff walkie talkies and vacuum from cleaning staff since the walls are pretty thin. Room did not look like the photos, but was decent enough.

Location is very good on Avenida de Mayo connecting Casa Rosada with Congress building. Nice staff, rooms rather 3 than 4stars but very clean, breakfast ok.

Good location, very close to metro station Extremely unfriendly staff at the reception and very unhelpful. Not willing to assist at all. Breakfast is more than basic and the room facilities is extremely basic too. Rated as a four star hotel, it felt like a hostel after we reached the hotel. Also, it's extremely old and carpet dirty, it definitely needs some freshen up. I don't recommend this hotel. We also had to change rooms a few times. The first night, they gave us a room facing the road. The sound protection is almost non-existent. It was almost like we slept on the street or with window open.

We were very disappointed with Buenos Aires as a city. It was filthy dirty and there were no shops open on sundays or public holidays. The beautiful old buildings were in a very bad state and the whole city needs to be cleaned up. The staff behind the desk were ok - not very helpful at all.

One staff member went out of their way to help me with any enquiries I had. The hotel has a magnificent foyer and a lovey breakfast. You can have a Turkish, Finnish or whatever bath price is included in hotel. If you want a massage you can have one at a very reasonable price. Great hairdresser few shops away ´Jórge´. Aussie dollar is worth 4 times the Peso so great shopping! General public very friendly and helpful and the architecture is stunning. It could probably do with new carpet and a paint job in the halls and the rooms.Also they do not have bbc or cnn in their cable, so it´s impòssible to find out the news unless you buy a paper. Brush up on yur Spanish though.Most spèak little English.

The friendly and very helpful staff, great variety of food at the breakfast buffet, flexible check out hours The small double room i booked was way to small for me, my husband and our one year old daughter. To me that room is fine for a solo traveller or a couple, but with kids the space is too crowded, especially with 3 baggages. But the hotel staff were kind and they switched us to a much bigger room, of course paying a higher rate, but it was worth it, room was very comfortable, clean and we enjoyed our stay there.

Estoy muy conforme con la atencion. No hay lujo pero si es muy limpio. Muy bueno para estadia de visita a Baires, con buena ubicacion para todos los sitios que uno quiere visitar

En plena ciudad de buenos aires, es un lugar para relajarse y disfrutar de sus servicios de spa. El hotel es clásico, no es muy lujoso ni moderno, pero se encontraba limpio, prolijo y la atención que nos brindaron fue muy buena.

O Hotel é maravilhoso, com arquitetura preservada e história preservada. Do lado de fora o encantamento já acontece, e assm que se sentra no Hotel a primeira coisa que impressiona são os detalhes: tudo original de uma beleza sem fim. Vale a pena se hospedar no hotel que Lorca escolheu para morar por uma temporada. Para quem é amante da arte e arquitetura, o hotel é parada obrigatória! Não gostamos da tv, achamos que poderiam investir em aparelho mais novo e mais amplo, ja que sempre ao chegar das imensas e deliciosas andanças pelas ruas portenhas, sempre queríamos assistir um filme ou ver o nosso Boca Juniors jogando.

Gostei apenas da internet, que funciona muito bem. Me desagradaram: o horário de funcionamento da academia, o café-da manhã, que é ruim, e o preço para passar camisas sociais (quase 20 reais!). E não emprestam ferro para você passar.

Estilo, decoración, servicios, confort. Todo ello bien; nada destacable ni sobresaliente sino, simplemente, bien. Excelente ubicación Solo estan preservados, en cuanto a mantenimiento, estilo, etc. los espacios o lugares visibles y de uso común. A las habitaciones les falta detalles de conservación. Considerando que se trata de una construcción antigua y que conserva elementos originales creo que requiere otro tipo de mantenimiento, por lo menos según lo que observé en mi habitación. El personal tiene un trato, con los pasajeros, respetuoso pero muy frío y distante podrían ser un poco mas cálidos y con algún gesto de cordialidad. Creo que eso también hace al confort y la comodidad.

Excelente localização e o staff é muito atencioso e solícito sempre dispostos a ajudar. O hotel é um pouco antigo algum reparo será necessário nos halls. O café da manhã é muito bom também. 100% recomendado, eu certamente voltaria a me hospedar no Castelar.
